On October 30, 2020 'THE FIRST DROP' by beeple debuted on Nifty Gateway. Five years later his 'DIFFUSE CONTROL' is at LACMA. "Beeple’s work seeks to dissolve boundaries between artist and audience, making the creative act a shared experience" reads their website. This has been a consistent throughline. In 2020 it was charging $1 USD for editions of 'POLITICS IS BULLSHIT'. In the years since, through live Everydays at Beeple Studios and beyond. At LACMA, through audience remixing and print generation. Things move fast around here. Sometimes it's good to take a step back and appreciate the immense progress made in a relatively short time. If you weren't around for the beginning in 2020, this is how it felt: Happy anniversary Beeple!
