diffusion policy learning to draw triangles on a canvas from vision, code for this was just released! Not too hard in fact, and I think drawing environments have some nice opportunities of analysis because there are many ways to draw a triangle (and other shapes). Same with cleaning envs...

Also, highly recommended to draw from still frames of whatever actiony videos you can find. Poses are great - but there's information in movement too. Here's one that's fun - by Elsaucepapii on Facebook. Set it to half speed. Scroll it. Stop on a frame. Draw.

Blades of the Guardians episode two is crazy. There are many battles, but I would like to draw attention to this one. We also have hand to hand combat, and it's just as good. Strong choreography with great use of the 3D camera, and the variety of techniques is impressive.

I'm seeing some unnecessary beef between some Dain stans and Barbie stans. First of all, I wouldn't even dare compare those two girls. They were given the same lines but sang it differently. Not because of the difference in skill, but because of the difference in character. I am beyond thankful that Dain gave those lines her own flavour, Barbie would be proud. Second, I wouldn't think about trying to replace one for the other. I'm just happy that baemon is full of girls capable of carrying each other's burdens. Do you think Dain was carrying this responsibility with happiness and excitement alone? No, she was probably anxious, restless, and under immense pressure. But she delivered. Again, Barbie would be proud. Lastly, this is not a competition. Last Evaluation was long done and dusted. I am happy. Not only because Dain had the lines and not only because she delievered. But because this meant a window of opportunity for Dain's future, and a window of respite for Barbie's hardwork. I am proud of them, both of them. And I know for a fact that Barbie would do the same for Dain in a heartbeat — because they're sisters. So I don't care if you're a RAMI stan or a RORA stan, if you try to pit them against each other then you're no one's stan. Get out.

In 2007, I designed tools that let anyone draw on top of Google Maps. People could drop pins, draw lines and shapes, and layer their own meaning onto the world with "My Maps." But nearly 20 years later, one tiny design debate has stayed with me: how should people draw a shape? At the time, we had two options. 1. Draw mode: users click and drag to create. 2. Drop + edit: the app drops a default shape, then users resize + move it. I pushed hard for draw mode. People were tracing rivers and roads, so precision mattered. A default square dropped in the middle of Kansas wasn’t going to cut it. Decades later, this same debate is still playing out in modern tools: → Figma, Illustrator, Google Slides use draw mode → Canva, Keynote, PowerPoint use drop + edit While there clearly isn't consensus, some newer products are evolving beyond these patterns: → FigJam gracefully merges draw mode and drop + edit into one concept with its semi-transparent “ghost” objects. → Apple Photos on iPhone is a great context for drop + edit. The canvas is small and the mobile user inputs are limited. After decades of using digital drawing tools, I still bristle when a tool drops an unsolicited rectangle onto my screen. At best, it feels presumptuous. At worst, it feels lazy. When we built My Maps, we designed tools that invited users to create. We provided the means, but we let people lead. That same principle applies to every product today: understand who you’re building for and what they need, then design the simplest, most intuitive workflows — ones that let users lead. ❗️A THREAD >> TL;DR several etsy shops sell widgets that are based on the code they stole from my asset, additionally just dozens of copycats blatantly steal any new original idea some ppl could've seen dozens of similarly looking designs of "liquid goals" on etsy - most of them (not all codewise) originate from one single asset I've put out there in 2023 :D I noticed one widget long time ago on the stream and got a lil confused, because it looks similar to mine, animations are 1:1 (and I remember them FRAME BY FRAME, because I MADE THEM) but it wasn't mine, huh? and then I jumped into the rabbit hole of dozens of assets that were made on the code carcass I made and those people were successfully milking it for years in all the shapes possible examples below are from shops Mynn Yori / Hana Yori and notorious Multiverse Valley, who were already called out for stealing and selling other artists work multiple times CSS code from both are 89% / 98% similar to mine, the difference is just renaming classes like "dropshadow" instead of "bottomshadow" and some values adjustments heh and the thing that pmo me the most is that those ppl couldn't even just copy the idea and make it themselves, huh? besides of those on the screenshot, I don't care about other creators selling the same goal design because I see that they at least made it on their own
