Digger is not what I expected… AT ALL. Quick thoughts:

I think they did go through with that message. The stark contrast between the audience clapping and then entering the bleak dystopian world outside IS the satire. Laughing and cheering inside closed doors, and yet horror awaits in reality. I think the message is exactly what you said. Satire can be a powerful weapon, yet we are blind to its double-edged nature.

*spoilers* But it’s also wild how the nephew puts on a play about how his uncle’s ignorance caused all these people to be displaced while running a security company that finds and helps displaced people(to some extent)

I actually love this review this is such an interesting idea that more art needs to touch on. Like even if you’re talking abt the nature to laugh or make light of serious situations u have w like a friend or family member even when you’re hurt deep down and don’t know how to cope

I really liked it but in my review i said that they should have gone very hard in this aspect like very hard and execution could have been better.

not really, this movie shows that the audience can laugh and cheer all they want to vent their trauma, or what the movie calls "revenge". in the end they get back to reality.

I really liked the movie. I think for plot reasons, because of the world building that we see especially as the credits roll, was the reason they didn't jump to your idea fully. Just because of how bleak their world was. Great movie though, I loved the plane scene. Amazing acting
