This is the line that matters. Ireland has already shown that organised resistance works. Digital ID tied to daily life is permanent surveillance by default and stopping it now is the only chance to stop it at all.

Yes and the government are planning to link a Digital ID Wallet (containing passport, birth certificate and driving licence) they are developing to MyGovID. They plan to restrict access to social media to those who hold a Digital ID Wallet. This means that your online activity will be linked to your Digital ID Wallet and PPS number, contained in MyGovID. This is mandatory Digital ID through the back door, by coercing people to comply with their plan to implement a surveillance society whereby our every movement will be traced, tracked, monitored and controlled. The government spin is that this is about protecting children.

EU/UK residents may be able to escape censorship (and the digital ID required for social media access) at least for the moment as well as make life difficult for police who want to find you : 1. Subscribe to a free ProtonMail account & use that eMail address to subscribe to X. (This tells the X server you reside in Switzerland which so far does not require X to censor). 2. Subscribe to a ProtonVPN account. 3. Open ProtonVPN, Connect to a server in the USA then Log into X. The VPN location tells the X server you are accessing X from the USA not from where you live. Important, as X can be forced to censor based on local law.

I'm deeply concerned about the Irish Gov. plan to restrict social media for under 16s using mandatory MyGovID checks. This is clear government overreach. Parents not the state should decide what's best for their children. Forcing state ID verification invades family privacy, creates tracking risks for children & undermines our constitutional rights to family autonomy, privacy, and free expression (Articles 40, 41, and 42). We must strongly challenge this before it becomes law. Our children's freedom & our parental rights are worth fighting for.

Different governments, same solutions: all countries are pushing totalitarian controls and causing unrest through high living costs and mass immigration, believing this will impair our critical thinking while they implement dystopian measures. Why are all countries engaging in the same behaviour? Refuse it—do whatever you must, but do not comply.
