A clip from "African Tale" (1963), a Soviet animated short based on a parable by Jomo Kenyatta about African resistance to colonialism. The animation tells a clear anti-colonial allegory of animals uniting against their oppressors. A fascinating glimpse into how Cold War-era Soviet animation engaged with African independence movements.

The Dumbest Diplomat Ever Just to put this in perspective, this lovely lady, Kaja Kallas, the daughter of a former head of the Estonian branch of the state bank back in the USSR, who was, obviously, a member of the Soviet communist party, was born in 1977, which means she was about 14 years old when the USSR broke apart. That's 7th grade, people. She went to a regular Soviet school with Soviet textbooks, studied in Russian, up until at least the 7th grade, and, very likely, until she graduated, because, obviously, the switch didn't happen right away. And she just learned, in 2025, at the age of 48, that the USSR and China beat the living shit out of fascists, which surprised her greatly. I guess she skipped every single history lesson and walked around Estonia blindfolded, missing every single Great Patriotic War memorial, and, obviously, never watched Soviet TV or read a single book in Russian. Amazing, just amazing.

GPT 2 Images X Seedance 2.0 Animation with 30 second storyboard Don’t ask AI to “make a video.”Give it a production board. image/video Prompts and guide in the thread🧵 I made a 30-second animated video from a short sentence using only 3 steps: The trick is simple: Start with a short story, then turn both parts into one clean cinematic storyboard. Animate with seedance 2.0

China Is Repeating the Soviet Union’s Most Expensive Mistake. America can just wait as Xi fell into the Soviet Trap. Xi Jinping spent years studying the Soviet collapse, but his obsession with avoiding Gorbachev’s mistakes is pushing China toward the same economic trap. In this video, I explain how Xi's costly military and technology race with America is draining resources from Chinese households, weakening domestic demand, and placing China on a dangerous path of strategic overextension.

This is the 60th time in #MNTwins history that a player has five or more hits. The last players with 5-hit games are Carlos Correa last month and Byron Buxton back in 2021. One guy had six hits in a game in both 1987 and 1991.
