We changed a bit of the choreography on the second day. When we had spare moments on the second day, we would practice. We used our limited break time to practice and make it a different show, so that the fans could feel awed. 🐰: I was going to say the same thing as P'Mi. 🦊: Really? 🐰: Yeah. 🦊: It was a pretty amazing shot. 🐰: Yeah, it was a moment that we didn't dance the same on both days. 🦊: And we thought that very morning like, why don't we make the shows not the same? 🐰: Yeah. And when we were doing the (photo) benefits, the fans might've seen us looking dazed. We were dazed, but inside we were thinking, what should we do? My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. Part of the experience when visiting a new area is the street food but it’s becoming more and more a chore avoiding places like this.

🐻 Oh the story about Chanel the cat was really shocking. 🐹 What Chanel the cat? 🐻 So there is so much stuff inside our dorm because there were five girls living there. At the time, Wendy was left at the dorm while Joy and I went out to watch a movie. Yerimie opened the main door because she was gonna go out when something scurried inside. At the time, Yerim was really scared of animals. Like she was just scared of animals themselves. So they texted 'something entered the dorm!' 'It seems like an animal entered the dorm'. In real-time, Wendy texted that it kept going around scratching at the door. Yerimie was so scared she couldn't go out because she didn't know what kind of animal it was. Meanwhile, in Sooyoung and I's case, we love animals so we were like 'Let's go back quickly and check!' At first we thought it was a puppy, because puppies are cute. So we were like, let's try to find it! But no matter how we looked, we couldn't find it. Since there was so much stuff, we couldn't find it even as we searched every corner. It just wouldn't come out. Then I kept hearing this meowing sound from somewhere. So we tried luring it out with some food but even so, it wouldn't come out. Then in one corner, we saw a white cat. Anyone looking at it could tell it was an expensive one. It's a Cheongdam cat, so of course! That's why we called it Chanel. It really felt like a 'Chanel'. So we were like 'Chanel~ Chanel~ come on out~'. We looked for the owner. We tried talking to the maintenance office and found that its owner lived in the same neighborhood. So we brought it back.

What he does is he grabs the back of his head and he just starts tugging on it. The idea was he would pull it as far as he could, and then we would take over stretching the image, making it appear to be distorting in a way that it physically couldn’t. Then basically when I shot Vince I just kept urging him to pull harder, and harder, and harder until finally the final take he just pulled it until the makeup just ripped. We said, ‘Okay, we got it.’ That’s what’s in the show because it’s really tugging on his face the maximum it could be done, and then we just extended that. The first question you asked is why I walked four thousand kilometers—what created the need for us to do this? The reason is that all avenues of communication in India were shut. Every single one. No matter what we did, everything was blocked. We spoke in Parliament, but it wasn't televised. We went to the media, but they didn’t pick up what we said. We even presented documents to the legal system, but nothing happened. So, all the avenues were closed, and for a long time, we literally couldn’t understand how to communicate. Then suddenly, we hit upon the idea: if the media isn't reaching the masses and institutions aren't connecting us with the people, go directly to them. The best way to do that was to literally walk across the country. And so, that’s what we did. In the beginning, I must tell you, I had a knee problem. For the first 3-4 days, I thought, 'What have I done?' Because when you wake up in the morning and say, 'I’ll run 10 kilometers,' it’s fine. But when you wake up and say, 'I’ll walk 4,000 kilometers,' it’s a completely different paradigm. There were moments like that, where I thought, 'This is quite a big thing.' But surprisingly, it wasn’t difficult at all. And it fundamentally changed the way I think about my work. I would say it completely changed how I view politics, how I view our people, how I communicate with them, and how I listen to them. It wasn’t just me—many people were involved in the Yatra. For all of us, the most powerful thing that happened organically, something we didn’t even plan, was the introduction of the idea of love in politics. The first question you asked is why I walked four thousand kilometers—what created the need for us to do this? The reason is that all avenues of communication in India were shut. Every single one. No matter what we did, everything was blocked. We spoke in Parliament, but it wasn't televised. We went to the media, but they didn’t pick up what we said. We even presented documents to the legal system, but nothing happened. So, all the avenues were closed, and for a long time, we literally couldn’t understand how to communicate. Then suddenly, we hit upon the idea: if the media isn't reaching the masses and institutions aren't connecting us with the people, go directly to them. The best way to do that was to literally walk across the country. And so, that’s what we did. In the beginning, I must tell you, I had a knee problem. For the first 3-4 days, I thought, 'What have I done?' Because when you wake up in the morning and say, 'I’ll run 10 kilometers,' it’s fine. But when you wake up and say, 'I’ll walk 4,000 kilometers,' it’s a completely different paradigm. There were moments like that, where I thought, 'This is quite a big thing.' But surprisingly, it wasn’t difficult at all. And it fundamentally changed the way I think about my work. I would say it completely changed how I view politics, how I view our people, how I communicate with them, and how I listen to them. It wasn’t just me—many people were involved in the Yatra. For all of us, the most powerful thing that happened organically, something we didn’t even plan, was the introduction of the idea of love in politics.
