Please excuse my appearance on the video but I want to share my recent experience flying with Delta Traveling for the holidays and returning to the DMV turned into a deeply traumatic experience for me. My wheelchair was damaged, I was dropped, abandoned when I needed assistance, and treated poorly throughout the journey. This experience has left me mentally and emotionally unwell as well in physically pain. I have filed a claim and submitted a report, but Delta has yet to respond. Although I'm not okay mentally, I am determined to fight for justice. Disabled people should be able to travel without fear of their mobility aids being damaged. We should not be mistreated or made to feel like burdens simply because we require assistance. We are human beings with feelings, and it is long overdue for airlines to take responsibility and treat disabled customers with dignity and respect. I am extremely disappointed in how l've been treated and firmly believe I deserve compensation for the pain and suffering l've endured. While I continue to speak out about what happened, l'm going to take legal action because now I'm dealing the financial burden of getting my chair fixed as well medical expenses. Kamala Harris: We cannot despair. We cannot despair. The nature of a democracy is such that I think there's a duality. On the one hand, there's an incredible strength when our democracy is intact. An incredible strength in what it does to protect the freedoms and rights of its people. Oh, there's great strength in that. And it is very fragile. It is only as strong as our willingness to fight for it. And so that's the moment we're in. And I say do not despair because in a democracy, as long as we can keep it, in our democracy the people, every individual has the power to make a decision about what this will be. And so let's not feel powerless. Because then we have been defeated. And that's not our character as the American people. We are not one to be defeated. We rise to a moment and we stand on broad shoulders of people who have fought this fight before for our country. And in many ways let us look at the challenge then that we are being presented and not be overwhelmed by it. The baton is now in our hands, to fight for, not against, but for this country we love.

We're seeing so much crime, so much instability — It affects every other community across the country, but the crime and instability, the first people that has to deal with that, Black people — name any city that has a majority Black population. It's aggressive to live there” He says as soon as a black person is doing well for themselves, the first thing they want to do is leave black areas “And the Black people who are doing well, guess what they do? The NDIS will destroy us all if we let it, and it will take the poor and the disabled with it. The NDIS is destroying productivity at a scale never seen before in this country and we're borrowing from the future in order to consume in the present, impoverishing ourselves as seen in our declining standards of living. What's the answer? To abandon the disabled? No, of course not. The answer is to deal with the cost of government and the cost of living so that disabled people and their families are better able to take care of themselves, with community support for those in greatest need, because the cost of living is manageable, taxes are minimal, and community support is available.
