2025年もありがとうございました♡ 今年は引退を発表し、改めて「感謝を伝える一年にしよう」と決めて、たくさん活動することができた1年でした。どんな時も応援してくれて、会いに来てくれて、たくさん愛の言葉をかけてくれて本当にありがとうございました💕 皆さん一人ひとりの存在があったから笑顔でこの一年を締めくくることができました😍 来年の5月の作品をもって女優業は引退しますが最後まで走り切りますのでどうぞよろしくお願いいたします✨ そして新たなステージに向けて、また一歩ずつ頑張っていきます。これからも自分らしく進んでいくのでそばにいてもらえたら嬉しいです。どうか皆さん良いお年をお迎えください🩵 Thank you so much for 2025 ♡ This year, I announced my retirement, and decided to make 2025 a year dedicated to expressing my gratitude. 【不気味の谷のジュピターキング】『METAL SLUG３』のMission 3のボス「ジュピターキング」って、あちこち不自然に傾いているでしょう？あれは、私がパースを意識して描いた結果の大失敗ではなく、わざと奇妙に傾けたんです。なぜそんなことしたかというと、その方がより恐ろしく見えるんじゃないかと思ったからです。ゾンビもまっすぐ立つのではなく、歪んだ姿勢やぎこちない動きで不気味さを生みますよね。これは、人間に酷似したロボットが違和感から恐怖を呼ぶ「不気味の谷現象」とは少し違いますが、「認識のズレ」と「予測の裏切り」を狙ってみたんですよ。機械はこうあるべき、というプレイヤーの認識を揺さぶり、生理的な違和感を生む。人間ではないのに異常な状態にある、というギャップが、不気味さや恐怖を生むのではないかと考えたんです。 …でも久々に見たジュピターキングの歪んだ姿勢は、「恐怖」ではなく、やっぱり下手くそに見えますね。お恥ずかしい…😅 先日、あきまんさんのツイキャスで『サイボーグ１号』のお話をされていたので思い出したんですが、このボスのアニメーションを担当する後輩に、一つお願いをしていたんです。ボスが倒され大爆発して現れた残骸の中に、『サイボーグ１号』の中身を描いておいてくれ、と。 1970年ごろにタカラから販売された、クリアボディーの着せ替えアクションフィギュア『サイボーグ１号』を皆さんは覚えてますか？実は、ボス破壊後にそんな遊び心を仕込んでいたことを、私自身すっかり忘れていました。改めて見て、ああ、プレイヤーの皆にもこのささやかな「発見」が届いていたらいいな、としみじみ思った次第です。【The Uncanny Valley of Jupiter King】 You know how the Mission 3 boss in METAL SLUG 3, the “Jupiter King,” is oddly tilted in various places? That wasn’t some failed attempt at perspective, it was deliberately made to look crooked. Why? Because I thought it would make the boss look more frightening. Zombies don’t stand straight either, they create eeriness through crooked postures and awkward movements. This is a little different from the “uncanny valley” phenomenon, where human-like robots evoke fear through subtle unnaturalness, but what I aimed for was a mismatch in perception and a betrayal of expectations. It shakes the player’s assumption of how a machine is “supposed” to look, creating a visceral discomfort. It’s not human, yet its abnormal condition creates a gap, one that I thought could evoke eeriness and fear. …But looking at Jupiter King’s crooked posture again after all this time, it doesn’t look frightening. It just looks clumsy. How embarrassing…😅 The other day, while listening to Akiman-san’s TwitCasting stream where he talked about “Cyborg No. 1,” I remembered something. I had once asked the junior in charge of animating this boss for a favor: to draw the inside of “Cyborg No. 1” within the wreckage that appears after the boss is defeated in a huge explosion. Some of you may remember the clear-bodied dress-up action figures “Henshin Cyborg 1” sold by Takara around 1970. In fact, I myself had completely forgotten that I had hidden such a playful touch in the boss’s wreckage. Looking at it again now, I can’t help but think how nice it would be if this little “discovery” reached the players too. #MetalSlug #UncannyValley #HenshinCyborg1

【不気味の谷のジュピターキング】『METAL SLUG３』のMission 3のボス「ジュピターキング」って、あちこち不自然に傾いているでしょう？あれは、私がパースを意識して描いた結果の大失敗ではなく、わざと奇妙に傾けたんです。なぜそんなことしたかというと、その方がより恐ろしく見えるんじゃないかと思ったからです。ゾンビもまっすぐ立つのではなく、歪んだ姿勢やぎこちない動きで不気味さを生みますよね。これは、人間に酷似したロボットが違和感から恐怖を呼ぶ「不気味の谷現象」とは少し違いますが、「認識のズレ」と「予測の裏切り」を狙ってみたんですよ。機械はこうあるべき、というプレイヤーの認識を揺さぶり、生理的な違和感を生む。人間ではないのに異常な状態にある、というギャップが、不気味さや恐怖を生むのではないかと考えたんです。 …でも久々に見たジュピターキングの歪んだ姿勢は、「恐怖」ではなく、やっぱり下手くそに見えますね。お恥ずかしい…😅 先日、あきまんさんのツイキャスで『サイボーグ１号』のお話をされていたので思い出したんですが、このボスのアニメーションを担当する後輩に、一つお願いをしていたんです。ボスが倒され大爆発して現れた残骸の中に、『サイボーグ１号』の中身を描いておいてくれ、と。 1970年ごろにタカラから販売された、クリアボディーの着せ替えアクションフィギュア『サイボーグ１号』を皆さんは覚えてますか？実は、ボス破壊後にそんな遊び心を仕込んでいたことを、私自身すっかり忘れていました。改めて見て、ああ、プレイヤーの皆にもこのささやかな「発見」が届いていたらいいな、としみじみ思った次第です。【The Uncanny Valley of Jupiter King】 You know how the Mission 3 boss in METAL SLUG 3, the “Jupiter King,” is oddly tilted in various places? That wasn’t some failed attempt at perspective, it was deliberately made to look crooked. Why? Because I thought it would make the boss look more frightening. Zombies don’t stand straight either, they create eeriness through crooked postures and awkward movements. This is a little different from the “uncanny valley” phenomenon, where human-like robots evoke fear through subtle unnaturalness, but what I aimed for was a mismatch in perception and a betrayal of expectations. It shakes the player’s assumption of how a machine is “supposed” to look, creating a visceral discomfort. It’s not human, yet its abnormal condition creates a gap, one that I thought could evoke eeriness and fear. …But looking at Jupiter King’s crooked posture again after all this time, it doesn’t look frightening. It just looks clumsy. How embarrassing…😅 The other day, while listening to Akiman-san’s TwitCasting stream where he talked about “Cyborg No. 1,” I remembered something. I had once asked the junior in charge of animating this boss for a favor: to draw the inside of “Cyborg No. 1” within the wreckage that appears after the boss is defeated in a huge explosion. Some of you may remember the clear-bodied dress-up action figures “Henshin Cyborg 1” sold by Takara around 1970. In fact, I myself had completely forgotten that I had hidden such a playful touch in the boss’s wreckage. 【R・TYPEのボス『ブロンク』を描いたときの話】初代『R・TYPE』の開発が始まった頃、アイレムにはまだドット絵エディターが無く、私は方眼紙と色鉛筆でドット絵を描いていました。当初は『R・TYPE』に必要な絵をすべて私一人で描く予定だったんですが、さすがに作業量が多すぎたため、開発の途中で導入されたドット絵エディターを使って、プランナーのABIKO君が敵や背景を描くのを手伝ってくれたんです。このボスステージの背景もABIKO君が描いてくれていて、私が描いたのは、ゴミ、ハッチ、『ブロンク』、監視ロボ等のオブジェです。それでも全体の作業量は多く、私には大きなボスを描く余裕がありませんでした。その影響で、後半ステージのボスはどうしても小ぶりなものになってしまったんです。この7ステージのボス『ブロンク』も、その一つでした。このボスの着想は、初代『スター・ウォーズ』の有名なシーンです。デス・スターの独房から脱出したルーク、レイア、ハン・ソロ、チューバッカの4人が、シュートへ飛び込んで行き着いた先のゴミ処理場なんです。ルークを汚水に引きずりこんだ単眼のクリーチャー『ダイアノーガ』が、『R・TYPE』では、溜まったゴミの中からひょっこり顔を出す、ゴミ監視ロボになっています。実は、このボスステージには『デス・スター』のゴミ処理場と同じように、巨大なゴミ圧縮機を設置する予定だったんです。ゴミを押しつぶすための巨大な壁が迫ってくるので、その壁を撃って押し戻しながら、落下してくるゴミや『ブロンク』を破壊するというゲームになるはずでした。 English below 【When I Drew the R-TYPE Boss “Bronk”】 When development began on the original R-TYPE, Irem did not yet have a pixel art editor, so I was drawing pixel art on graph paper with colored pencils. At first, I planned to draw all the graphics needed for R-TYPE by myself, but the workload was simply too large. Partway through development, a pixel art editor was introduced, and our planner ABIKO used it to help draw enemies and backgrounds. ABIKO also drew the background for this stage. What I drew were objects such as the trash, the hatch, Bronk, and the surveillance robots. Even so, the overall workload was still huge, and I did not have enough room in the schedule to draw large bosses. As a result, the bosses in the later stages inevitably ended up being on the smaller side. The boss of this Stage 7, Bronk, was one of them. The idea for this boss came from the famous scene in the original Star Wars, where Luke, Leia, Han Solo, and Chewbacca escape from the Death Star detention block, jump into a chute, and end up in the garbage compactor. The one-eyed creature Dianoga, which pulls Luke into the dirty water, became a garbage-monitoring robot in R-TYPE, popping its head out from the accumulated trash. Actually, this boss stage was originally planned to have a giant garbage compactor, just like the garbage compactor in the Death Star. A huge wall for crushing the trash would close in, and the player was supposed to shoot that wall to push it back while destroying the falling trash and Bronk. #RType #GameDev

【R・TYPEのボス『ブロンク』を描いたときの話】初代『R・TYPE』の開発が始まった頃、アイレムにはまだドット絵エディターが無く、私は方眼紙と色鉛筆でドット絵を描いていました。当初は『R・TYPE』に必要な絵をすべて私一人で描く予定だったんですが、さすがに作業量が多すぎたため、開発の途中で導入されたドット絵エディターを使って、プランナーのABIKO君が敵や背景を描くのを手伝ってくれたんです。このボスステージの背景もABIKO君が描いてくれていて、私が描いたのは、ゴミ、ハッチ、『ブロンク』、監視ロボ等のオブジェです。それでも全体の作業量は多く、私には大きなボスを描く余裕がありませんでした。その影響で、後半ステージのボスはどうしても小ぶりなものになってしまったんです。この7ステージのボス『ブロンク』も、その一つでした。このボスの着想は、初代『スター・ウォーズ』の有名なシーンです。デス・スターの独房から脱出したルーク、レイア、ハン・ソロ、チューバッカの4人が、シュートへ飛び込んで行き着いた先のゴミ処理場なんです。ルークを汚水に引きずりこんだ単眼のクリーチャー『ダイアノーガ』が、『R・TYPE』では、溜まったゴミの中からひょっこり顔を出す、ゴミ監視ロボになっています。実は、このボスステージには『デス・スター』のゴミ処理場と同じように、巨大なゴミ圧縮機を設置する予定だったんです。ゴミを押しつぶすための巨大な壁が迫ってくるので、その壁を撃って押し戻しながら、落下してくるゴミや『ブロンク』を破壊するというゲームになるはずでした。 English below 【When I Drew the R-TYPE Boss “Bronk”】 When development began on the original R-TYPE, Irem did not yet have a pixel art editor, so I was drawing pixel art on graph paper with colored pencils. At first, I planned to draw all the graphics needed for R-TYPE by myself, but the workload was simply too large. Partway through development, a pixel art editor was introduced, and our planner ABIKO used it to help draw enemies and backgrounds. ABIKO also drew the background for this stage. What I drew were objects such as the trash, the hatch, Bronk, and the surveillance robots. Even so, the overall workload was still huge, and I did not have enough room in the schedule to draw large bosses. As a result, the bosses in the later stages inevitably ended up being on the smaller side. The boss of this Stage 7, Bronk, was one of them. The idea for this boss came from the famous scene in the original Star Wars, where Luke, Leia, Han Solo, and Chewbacca escape from the Death Star detention block, jump into a chute, and end up in the garbage compactor. The one-eyed creature Dianoga, which pulls Luke into the dirty water, became a garbage-monitoring robot in R-TYPE, popping its head out from the accumulated trash. Actually, this boss stage was originally planned to have a giant garbage compactor, just like the garbage compactor in the Death Star. A huge wall for crushing the trash would close in, and the player was supposed to shoot that wall to push it back while destroying the falling trash and Bronk. #RType #GameDev
