Try to put yourself in their shoes a minute. Decades of discovering awesome things, of seeing it covered up, and taking money for doing so. Having your own talents and achievements, that you are rightly proud of, being hidden too. Growing old. And living with all that. Perhaps wanting to try and justify what you’ve done. Leave a legacy Being conditioned to secrecy. Now being allowed to say some things. Specific things.

If we want to move forward believing “the future will be better than the past” then why not just release all prisoners? Why is it when our government commits major crimes against humanity you want to sweep it under the rug saying “oh let’s just move on”? NO! There have been people harmed and traumatized for life due to this cover-up. I say bring them to justice, make those harmed whole again, and then we can work to make the world a better place. Justice for the victims of UFO cover ups!

Avi is just excited to lead the current charge and so has no interest in the past. That’s fair. Hal, whom I still trust, wants to leapfrog over the very messy history he’s tied to. But “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” so I’m with Gerb all the way.

@UapTracker Pardons would require this type of thinking, directionally it makes sense. If you have the stomach for pardons of course.

There's a point though, people will be less inclined to help if it's going to incriminate themselves. This is one reason why a brief amnesty is allowed if it was being done in good faith to protect the nation. As for Gerb, he's knowledgeable but there's still yet to be any evidence the legacy program is real, nor any aliens body/craft. So it's still possible it's all just stories.

I watched this and immediately had to watch it again, because it’s hard to hear what Avi and Hal are talking about with the amount of wool being draped over your head.

Alot of different body language here and discomfort going on. So here my take Or it may simply reflect the limits of what they know, what they can legally discuss, or what they believe is supported by evidence. Either way, the past matters. If disclosure is genuine, it should withstand scrutiny of both the phenomenon and the history surrounding it. Transparency cannot begin halfway through the story.
