🇮🇱 The IDF released exclusive footage from inside Hezbollah’s massive underground tunnel network beneath the Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon. The network stretched for more than 2 kilometers and contained Iranian-made rockets, missiles, drones, anti-tank weapons, explosives and a Hezbollah command complex. New footage shows Yahalom troops operating inside the tunnels, drone footage of the underground routes, and the elimination of Hezbollah terrorists inside a tunnel shaft. The IDF has established operational control of the strategic ridge above and below ground and dismantled the underground infrastructure. -Israel Defense Forces

BREAKING: The IDF says more than 1,100 tons of explosives have been used to destroy Hezbollah’s vast underground infrastructure beneath the strategic Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon. The tunnel and command network, built over approximately two decades with Iranian funding and support, included command posts, weapons rooms, generators, living quarters and other facilities designed to sustain Hezbollah forces underground for extended periods. The IDF says it has achieved operational control of the Ali al-Taher Ridge both above and below ground, clearing Hezbollah fighters from two major tunnel systems before beginning their destruction. Israel says the operation effectively completes its security zone in southern Lebanon, above and below ground, and that the IDF will maintain a presence in the area to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its military infrastructure.

A tunnel in southern Lebanon that served as a Hezbollah command center was recently demolished by combat engineers, the IDF says. According to the military, the underground facility was used by Hezbollah to direct numerous rocket attacks on Israeli towns in the Galilee in the past year. Troops located weapons, surveillance equipment, and other military gear inside the tunnel, the IDF says. The IDF says several weapons depots were located near the tunnel, including one inside a mosque, where hundreds of explosive devices, guns, grenades, and other equipment were stored. After the tunnel was fully investigated by the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit, it was blown up.

Remember the massive Hezbollah terror tunnel that I posted about two hours ago, which the IDF destroyed in southern Lebanon? Look at the amount of weapons found there. This is just several miles from the Israeli border. Hezbollah must be destroyed.

‼️The IDF dismantled two more Hezbollah tunnel routes in southern Lebanon. The tunnels stretched roughly 200 meters underground, reaching depths of ~20 meters. Inside, troops found living quarters, launch shafts aimed at Israel, and dozens of weapons. This is why the IDF continues operating to remove Hezbollah’s terrorist infrastructure before it can be used against Israeli civilians.

As part of the IDF’s overnight operation to dismantle the underground tunnel network in the Beaufort Ridge area, controlled explosions were carried out solely against Hezbollah’s underground terrorist infrastructure. Attached is a video filmed this morning demonstrating that the Beaufort Castle was not damaged. The IDF remains committed to the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and will continue to operate to remove any threat to its forces.

The IDF releases footage of troops scanning the inside of Hezbollah's tunnels beneath the Ali Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, before the underground complex was destroyed last night. Some 50 Hezbollah operatives were believed to be holed up under Ali Taher when a new ceasefire took effect in June. Contrary to recent reports, no members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were in the tunnels, according to the IDF. The military says it killed many of the Hezbollah operatives during the offensive to capture the underground site, including some trying to flee the tunnels and some trying to bring reinforcements. A video published by the IDF shows two Hezbollah operatives being struck after opening fire from one of the tunnel shafts. Inside the tunnels, around a dozen bodies were found by the troops, according to the military. Still, some of the Hezbollah operatives are assessed to have fled the area. The military says it will "reorganize" its deployment in the area following the destruction of the tunnels, but will still remain in control of the ridge with surveillance and firepower.
