Disney's moat is its set of iconic characters, its IP. It creates merchandise and theme parks using its IP. But with advancements in AI, it will be possible for anyone to create characters and storylines like Mickey Mouse or Jungle Book. Their moat will be easily replicable.

And soon Disney's value spikes won't be much valuable as more & more companies would be coming up with the same biz models. This will push these content behemoths to skew & use AI to leverage their IP to create unique content and experiences. But what kinda content?

Emad suggests Disney can create cross-franchise experiences. Imagine you want to see Mickey Mouse interact with characters from other stories, like Spider-Man or Elsa from Frozen. In the past, creating such interactions would require a lot of time. With AI, things can change.

AI models can be trained to understand the behaviors, personalities, and traits of different characters. These models can then simulate interactions between these characters in a virtual environment. There's already an experiment done on this theory

These interactions can be tailored to individual preferences, making them personalized and enjoyable. This opens up exciting possibilities for creating unique and dynamic content instead of relying solely on traditional storytelling methods.

Now, how does Disney make money from these experiences? One way is through microtransactions, meaning people can pay a small fee to access or participate in these AI-generated experiences: Mickey Mouse with Spider-Man in an adventurous video game.
