Fortnite will play a central role in Disney’s future. I spoke with Garrett Wymer about how Disney continues to build new Fortnite experiences to connect with fans worldwide. We’ve seen Disney connect in all-new ways through Fortnite, bringing The Walt Disney Studios and Disney Parks together like never before. And this is just the beginning of what The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games have planned. Unreal Engine 6 will power the future, including Disney’s groundbreaking digital Fortnite universe. Before players can play, watch, shop, and engage with characters and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more, Fortnite already has so much to offer. In-game experiences featuring Star Wars, Toy Story, and Kingdom Hearts are the perfect “appetizer” before the digital universe debuts.

The copyright of “Steamboat Willie” Mickey Mouse is in the public domain after 95 years. One game maker has been floating a trailer of a first-person shooter called “Mouse” (still in development). Funniest possible outcome is the game becoming a huge hit. Which leads to creation of a blockbuster film based on the IP. Which leads to a “Mouse” cinematic universe. Which leads to a streaming service called Mouse+. Culminating in a theme park that sells you a hot dog, diet coke and Mouse-branded misting fan for $130.
