@eggleston_anita If blacks would just stop voting for democrats their communities would change for the better so fast and they would save so many black lives from being killed by other blacks. Conservatives would clean up the crime and bring back the businesses and create jobs and wealth!!

Did you know... some police departments will not hire people whose IQ is GREATER THAN 115?

@Playteaux1 Basically. Imagine if the minimum requirement was running in a mile in less than 8 minutes, & ppl were disqualified for taking 9 minutes. But then someone finished in 5&1/2 minutes but was told "Sorry, you ran TOO fast."

If you have to lower the standard so certain people can be included you're not going to get the expertise you need in whatever field they're in. And it's not really doing the people who benefit from it any favors. It's just going to get them into trouble!

DEI woke, white guilt lunacy has a disparate impact on civil society. If you’re uneducated, or simply low IQ, improve yourself to every extent possible, and make the best of your natural potential. Do not expect society to lower their universal standards to include sub-standard people filling roles of any sort. Discrimination is an essential component of social and civil survival, and has nothing to do with racism.

The yearly compliance training at my job used to require you to pay attention and take it seriously. Now you can skip past the curriculum and test out. Our society is being dumbed down to accommodate everyone.

Okay, I'm age 63 and 5'3". Should the nets be lowered and taller younger players have their hands tied so I can play in the NBA?

I’ll use my example: a Queens NY judge deemed the FDNY test was racist. The test was already dumbed down 3x over 15 yrs. The Uniformed Firefighters Union and NYC wanted that judge to explain what part of the dumbed down test was discriminatory. He refused. The UFA and city filed a suit against his decision on appeal. Then DeBlazio won the mayoral election. He dropped the lawsuit when he was told that the UFA is winning and all 3 judges were ruling in favor that the test was not discrimination. Then he awarded the Vulcan society millions and hired all the blacks only to the fire department academy and back pay. 80% couldn’t pass the academy and one female failed 5x and the mayor ordered the FDNY to hire her anyway. The rest took the back pay and ran. The 20% that passed the academy, 18% had disciplinary issues and were transferred to at least 3 firehouses. Some made allegations that they were being punished for being black. I knew many FF. They told me keeping the firehouse clean is paramount. These rookie FF refused to sweep, mop, clean dishes and cleaning the engines. Less than 1% are still in the department. If anything was discriminatory, it was against qualified candidates of every skin color.

For a reading test?!? 🤨pretty straightforward skill for almost any job, for adult really lol The fact that they have to screen out applicants by giving a reading and writing test is asinine to begin with smh don’t need anymore dopes running around out there with guns and badges, there’s plenty already 🤷

You want to have the best of the best. To lower your standards to meet some arbitrary race quota does not achieve that goal. If they want to be part of the program, rather have them reach the higher standards as long as the standards are subjective.

It’s DEI and it’s killing our country. In a sane logical world we hire the best people for every job. We don’t dumb down or eliminate mental, educational or physical requirements because a subset of people can’t pass them. We set high standards and stick to them. Whether it’s a cop, a fireman, a doctor, a pilot, or a construction worker. Disparate impact is another phrase for woke insanity.

Now you don’t have to guess why students and teachers are less educated than they were 25 years ago and acutely less educated than 50 years ago.

The greatest systemic racism in America is clearly our education system. It has prevented minorities from successfully competing. To accommodate a broken education system, America had to attack merit based practices that illustrated this issue. Our education system became a victim of this as they drummed down standards for teachers to enable a racial/ethnic diverse balance. Instead of better teachers, we dumbed down our educators. Instead of fixing the “root cause” we attacked every merit based hiring practice that prevented poorly educated minorities from achieving success in fields where they could not compete fairly. Now we complain when things across our society get consistently worse. I will be pleased to see a race blind AI standardized best in class education curriculum supported by a tolerant, individually paced, incredibly patient AI teaching system replace our current over regulated, often disinterested DEI system.

The nature and entirety of the appalling problem here is the philosophical error that says discrimination is immoral and wrong. Discrimination is NOT wrong, it is the very backbone of morality.

As with too many things, desperate impact started from a good idea and was established in 1971 in the Briggs decision. Desperate impact is a cornerstone of the DEI movement, it’s based on outcomes as opposed to merit.

who stopped blacks from going to school??? And how do you want someone who can’t write a report as a police officer??? DEI is scam. Go to Africa and see the struggle parents go through to put their children to school because they inderstand the importance of education.

@angrycanuck3 Disparate Impact is something that has its origins at the roots. Fix the roots of some households and standards won’t have disparate impact. Learn the basics and there is no impact of basic standards.
