China is eating our lunch on AI power. Period. You can dream about data centers in space and cities on Mars, and I love the vision, Elon executes, no question. But here on Earth, right now, we have a brutal reality problem. The grid is tapped out, demand for AI data centers is exploding, and we are nowhere close to keeping up. China added roughly 500 gigawatts of power last year. We added excuses. Nuclear matters, but it's 10 to 15 years away and AI does not wait. That is why my money is going into stranded natural gas, combined cycle turbines, and massive land tied directly to permits, power, fiber, water, and air rights all in one place. Whoever controls reliable, scalable power wins, and if we don't fix the grid fast, we lose.

As Tropical Storm Lee continues to move slowly across the province, parts of Nova Scotia are experiencing wind gusts that can make conditions hazardous for our crews. When wind speeds are over 80km an hour, it isn’t safe for our crews to be up in the buckets and so we focus on assessing damage, responding to 911 calls, and restoring power from the ground where possible. In some parts of the province, we anticipate that these significant winds will continue for much of today. We do our best to give an estimate of when power will be restored. As we continue to assess damage across the province, we will update estimates. We encourage everyone to keep an eye on for the latest information. People in Utah have started asking us an important question, when you build these power facilities for AI data centers, can some of that energy be sold back into the local grid? The answer is yes. That completely changes the conversation. Instead of being seen as “the evil data center guys,” we can help power Utah’s grid while also building critical AI infrastructure for the future. And despite the headlines, we’re not building the world’s largest data center overnight. We’re starting with just 1.5 gigawatts with 1 gigawatt of net IT load a small fraction of the long-term proposal and proving the model first. And it’s not a 40,000 acre data center. Our project a full build out will span 10-13k acres 7,500 of which will be preserved. We want the people of Box Elder County to come see it themselves, the EPA air quality standards, the water permits, the noise compliance, and how the project actually operates before anything scales further.

Her home was sitting at 79 DEGREES. When she tried turning the AC down, her thermostat reportedly told her: “You are not allowed to lower your thermostat set point because the energy grid in your regional area is stressed.” In other words, the utility’s demand response program had temporarily taken control of her thermostat. It is basically a data center that floats in space and runs on sunlight instead of the power grid. Musk says its peak power is going up to ~250 kW, from 150 kW. Its average power is going up to 160 kW, from 120 kW. Why the boost. A single Nvidia Rubin NVL72 rack, 72 of Nvidia's newest AI chips, needs that much power to run. The bigger number means one AI1 can now handle a full rack. Musk's reasoning is simple. A GPU running all day uses about two-thirds of its peak power, even when it is very efficient. There’s a resolution before the House of Representatives that would allow physicians to own hospitals again—something we haven’t been able to do since the Affordable Care Act in 2010. This bill gives power back to providers and helps ensure patients get the care they deserve. Right now, it’s limited to rural areas—but it’s a start. 📬 I’m asking you to take 60 seconds to write to your rep. Just your name and address—and a message of support. If you’ve experienced a denial or delay in care, share your story too. 🗓️ Send your message by next Friday so Congressional offices have time to respond. 📣 It’s not a perfect bill (I want this everywhere, not just in rural areas) But it’s a step in the right direction.
