(1) You’ll need to provide ID in order to use the #DigitalPound: “For the digital pound, tiered access would allow for different levels of user access and functionality based on the amount of identification (ID) a user is willing or able to provide.” (2) The Bank will dictate how much you can hold: “The Bank would place some limits on holdings of digital pounds, at least during its introductory period.” (3) The digital pound will be programmable, if not by the Bank itself then by third party providers: “Programmability, delivered by Payment Interface Providers, could also enable the use of smart contracts, which carry out specific actions based on pre-defined terms and conditions.” Quotes are from from the Bank of England’s Digital Pound consultation paper: Whatever the #DigitalPound will be, it won’t be cash. Last post on this I'd appreciate if people took the time to read it and share it because I think when people listen they deserve credit but TRNSMT have done more than that I complained about the disabled situation TRNSMT Festival and I think the fact that they listened and made changes is the kind of progressive attitude we need towards disabled facilities. I wasn't complaining to come across as some sort of Karen, it just genuinely would've been a health and safety risk. So I think it's only right that I commend them for the work they've done with the platform this year. The platform has many key things that I think make it the best at any festival I've been at. 1.Clear marked out lanes for people to move out to the toilets and back to their seat to avoid congestion and create space 2. A bar for disabled people beside the platform this is amazing. 3. Toilets well spaced out as well as a changing places toilets for people who more severe disabilities beside the platform. 4. Plenty of space in the toilets. 5. It's huge and you feel really close to the stage

For the past 6 years I lived in Vienna and thought all Germanic cities are like this: dead after 22, anti-capitalist and having a retired people house vibe Now visited Düsseldorf and it felt more like Spain than Germany The center is full of people going out on Wednesday night In the beer houses people are dancing standing on the benches and singing The music is playing super loudly outside, nobody is complaining Everybody is super friendly and talkative I couldn’t find a bar that accepts cards (it’s still Germany), approached a group of guys and asked some cash I could send back via Revolut - we ended up drinking together and had a nice chat Germany is nothing like what you read on X So travel more - you never know what places feel like in real life until you see them!

Just like yesterday when we introduced the use of a hoist machine for casting the upper floors (around the 3rd and 4th floors), Sammyrex could remember, some of the casters who worked on the 1st and 2nd floors complained that we were wasting money. They said they had been carrying concrete on their heads from ground floor up to the 8th–10th floors for over 10 years. But instead of seeing it as unnecessary spending, they should see it as progress, because in some projects, concrete pumps are even used. Construction should move with safer, faster, and more efficient methods.

I used to regularly feed people on the streets, sometimes 50 packs, sometimes 100 packs depending on the money I had or the support I received. It has always been something close to my heart. Now, I want to take it further by reaching more people. My goal is to prepare 200–500 food packs per outreach, and I can’t do this alone.
