Our politicians have weaponized Nigerians with hunger and stealing and other forms of criminality have been normalized and become the every day activity of some frustrated Nigerians. This is very disheartening and shameful to a supposed giant of Africa. The Scriptures said and I quote “when wicked people rules, people suffer”. This has become the perfect definition of what is happening in our dear nation. It is very alarming to see very eager and energized young man stealing crumbs just to feed his family and relatives. Stealing public funds by our politicians has been normalized as our culture in every parastatal of our government. No where is free from this pandemic. Criminality is on a high rise every day. Something has to be done. However, we as a people must have a rethink of our actions. We know that things are really bad and hunger is growing everyday but this has never justifies the fact that you should go and steal. Stealing school roofs will not only makes things difficult but also creates a situation where the pupil who supposed to be in school drop out from School, worsening the situation. We should be very proactive and professional in handling things as not to create more problems to us and our generation. It is very disgraceful seeing this young man on the internet and imagine the international disgrace his kids gonna face in the future. Let’s stop crime and build our nation now. EngrENT.
