Researchers say from 2021-2023, the Antarctic Ice Sheet saw a record-breaking mass *gain.* Tongji University researchers say satellite gravimetry data shows that from 2011 to 2020, the Antarctic Ice Sheet lost 142 gigatons of ice per year. That trend flipped between 2021 and 2023 when the ice sheet allegedly gained about 108 gigatons of ice per year. Most of the gains are in East Antarctica. Scientists say much of the gains are linked to precipitation patterns, which could be temporary. Crazy.

Antarctica Has Not Warmed An analysis by Ned Nikolov, Ph.D. shows no meaningful warming across Antarctica over the satellite era. Two independent temperature records were examined from 1979 to 2023. First, reconstructed surface air temperatures from Ma et al. (2025) show a continent-wide trend of about +0.032C per decade, with today COLDER than 1979. Second, UAH satellite data for south of 60S show an even smaller trend: +0.017C per decade, which is effectively flat. Two independent systems. The same conclusion.
