And while so many of you are treating the fanchant like it‘s a way to give “credit” (which isn’t the purpose of a fanchant AT ALL) I hope the majority remember what ENHA themselves shared in the Blood Saga behinds. They talked about how intense the preparation for this tour was—from having to rearrange songs, relearn formations and rework choreography. These 6 poured their blood, sweat, and tears into making sure ENGENEs would have an amazing experience despite everything that has happened these past few months. Put fanwars, engagement, and number games aside. When you walk into that venue and see those 6 giving everything they have on stage, I hope it reminds you that the least we can do is respect and support the current lineup in front of us.

This may seem like a joke… and it’s definitely somewhat light-hearted But it’s also real. “Dessert” and “Sugar” has been demonized to a crazy extent. but there’s a huge difference between desserts made with high quality ingredients and desserts made with cheap filler junk. Take ice cream for example. Milk, cream, eggs, sugar? All anabolic & good for you. But they get a bad rap because people eat the Ben & Jerry’s slop with 100 ingredients most of which is processed slop. You can make the same conclusion about mostly every dessert. Cookies? Whole different ballgame if they are made with something like heirloom grains such as einkorn or spelt, that aren’t enriched, that aren’t loaded with gums, dyes, artificial sweeteners, etc. Getting this sugar in is actually GOOD for testosterone production, metabolism, & sleep. It’s inherently anti-stress when coming from a quality source. And beyond all that? Having some enjoyable treats makes your diet something that isn’t a 3 week effort, before falling off to binge for 3 days, and repeat. You satisfy your enjoyment for a delightful sweet, and increase adherence long term. So while it’s tongue in cheek, I’m not joking. Eat dessert for maximum gains.

Anomaa Bronii, my daughter in law, called me in the afternoon and said, ‘Mummy, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there today, but what did you cook?’ I said ‘Jollof, kebabs, spare ribs, spicy chicken, fried yam and plantain, goat meat stew, potato salad, lamb chops, Stephanie style, Gizzards and home made bread’. With a burst of excitement, Anomaa chirped, ‘Can you package some food for me?’. I smiled happily and said ‘Of Course, do you want everything?’ She joyously replied ‘Yes please. I’d love a lot more of the gizzard’. I looked in the almost empty gizzard dish and said ‘The girls ate most of that, but I’ll cook a fresh batch for you, don’t worry’. For a few days, JJ and Anomaa will have a feast and Cameron will also be set for the week with plenty of food in his fridge. Both left very happy. Unfortunately, the boys left me with 3 very unhappy, and angry daughters and a husband who were ready to be@t me, for giving all the food to my boys.🫣 Family Sundays is important to me, so when my African cooking brings my children back home, that makes me very happy.
