DIY container home ! Does it work for you ? It does me ! $5000

Very nice but I think you lost a 0 in your total. I added on to my wood shop with just 2 containers and a roof between and I doubled that. You would have to be lucky just to get 3 containers delivered for 5k

I could definitely make that work. โค๏ธ๐ฏ

This is bullshit. The container is 5,000. But the land, framing , electrical, plumbing and sewer hookups are far more. Not to mention insulation and leak prevention. Also windows and driveway. Deck. Doors. And do you like furniture?

You will never do this for $5000. You might be able to find a rusted and busted shipping container for $5000, but getting it to your plot of land will cost well over 5k. Then you need the tools and materiel, 15-100k. ๐ฎโ๐จ

People are making homes from shipping containers. Some are stacked into a 2 story home.

The pipes would freeze here.

It's bigger than what I have now, cheaper to!๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

The containers, and their placement would be way more than $5000. Iโm not sure how all this could be done for under $50 000 !

Hell yeah it could work especially if you can get a second floor with at least four bedrooms

Iโm obsessed with them , so much you can do with them

Excellent

Absolutely ๐ฏ

I saw some for sale on here for like $3,300 each and I think it would be great to take a bunch of those and make a container park for the veterans. Make little homes like he's doing

So now since the average american cannot afford homes - this is the alternative - live in a box? WOW. Try to make this seem cozy and how about the heat in super frigid weather conditions - all the while lib cities flipping the bill for illegal aliens to buy homes and retan apts.

Great build!... do you have any plans or advice to share? I'd like to do this on a piece if dirt I own.

I'd love a detached garage made out of these, but my neighbors would flip out, no matter how much I concealed it.

Great concept, I've thought about them but zoning laws won't permit them.

Been in construction 40 years just the lumber was over five grand for that construction just saying

I like this build

That did not cost $5000 - just one of those containers costs that much

God bless yall

Smart I've been thinking of doing this but not this nice

Great idea!

@WyattCatarina Nice

Ainโt no way $5k. Triple or more.

Would love to see this in person

@GGPlatinum_1 Cool ๐

A real handy man's home. If you've got the money, you could build two. One for yer house, the other for a garage.

Its gonna cost more than $5000 just in concrete.

$5000 I donโt think so

I would definitly enjoy this building process

My girls and me need that

You cant even get 1 cargo container for $5000.
