Oh goodness no! One of WD-40’s active ingredients is acid, keep this away from the electrical system, rubbers AND plastics (although it appears to beautify).

Not only will it burn, it will also act like a magnet to dust and dirt. Thus making it twice as dirty and grimy. Spend the extra 10mins and clean your engine bay properly. You want it dry. Not greasy.
