dlss 5 in hogwarts legacy is truly eye opening

im able to run it at 40 fps on my 4090 at 4k. very very playable also the raster graphics settings is at Ultra, including raytracing. it looks SO dull compared to dlss its insane

For years everyone with half a brain saw that its the problems in shadows on the face, and no on said: "lets take an actual fkn photo and see what were missing." Im looking at dlss5 for days now. Its just shadow distribution done right.

Without diving into blind outrage... I think one of the main issues with that tech visually is that it makes teenagers look like they're 30. It adds details that shouldn't be there for the sake of realism.

It really is just a lighting change. They’re not touching the graphics at all. It’s crazy how much lighting can make a difference.

It makes you think that they’ve just been getting lightinghorribly wrong all these years.

It so obviously can look incredible and these is still super early days. If they had marketed it as something other than AI it probably would have been received really well.

The best thing about it is that it truly doesn't change the person's features, like at all. It just makes everything more realistic. But remains faithful to the original.
