DLSS5 has revolutionized graphics overnight. This is not slop and if you think that you are blind. You need to use DLSS5 NOW if you are creating animations for non realtime rendering.

DLSS5 wasn't made by Epic Games. If you are going to comment at least take literally 2 seconds to read.

It goes from "huh that's not bad" to "whoa, that's just real life"

In my own tests, I’ve been able to get some very good results from it too. But if you want to use it properly, the solution isn’t just turning every setting to max. There are still cases where the reconstructed lighting seems to come from nowhere and doesn’t match the actual scene lighting. Maybe that gets improved by the final release we simply don’t know yet.

Yeah its toned in the local structure and then sliding it to 2 is basically the same after 0.2 But I'll tone it down depending on the animation. Even a settle change makes a big difference and if the neural network is doing to much work it might look weird on animations.

Try enabling Automatic Masking. Keep Skin Structure Strength at 0.5 and Local Structure at 1.06, and leave everything else at 1.0. That gave me the best results for both faces and clothing. Turning Local Tone Strength down too much can introduce artifacts in areas with strong reflected sunlight. Cinematic NR Style can fix that, but it tends to ruin the face.

It looks straight up like a movie in MAFIA

Do you happen to have a tutorial on this?

No thanks I'll just make gammes that look good without slop filters

This is UE Sequencer isn't it? Curious how you enable it there? Interested in this workflow for UE animation and cinematic renders as well.

How did you injected it directly into the engine? 🤯

What does it do to a cartoon characters like mario for example ?

yeah that is what all this feels like. just one big huge rendering program for games. Not just games. Our art.

How do I get my hands on this

So this works in rendering?

I´m doing it in post, but is it possible to use it on rendering?

how does dlss5 help w/ animations? thought it just did face lift ?

It is an animation I made it just renders it.

Right.. pardon; I was just confused by your phrasing ... "if you are creating animations..." - i think i just misunderstood ya!

For me it depends on the game. I've tried a few.
