"DMT is the missing neurotransmitter, found at similar concentrations to dopamine and serotonin." "Overloading the brain with DMT well beyond its natural levels and functions creates an alien environment in the brain." "We know of no other compound that can be administered and produce such otherworldly phenomena." "It's the...

In case you missed the news on endogenous 5-MeO-DMT, check this out. Still tentative and unpublished, but really exciting:

Oh wow! Thank you for sharing. Barker also said that 5-MeO was found. Super cool

They've known about it and bufotenine in other bodily fluids for some time, but actually taking measurements in the brain is an area where they'd been lacking a lot of data. Take a look at the whole rest of that thread too. There's some tentative speculation that it might have more of an intracellular role as opposed to being an intercellular neurotransmitter. 5-HT is more lipophobic, and doesn't really interact with the 5-HT recepors inside the cell. It generally travels between cells. DMT and 5-MeO-DMT are more lipophilic, which puts them in a better position to act as intracellular ligands, rather than intercellular neurotransmitters. DMT is also a sigma-1 ligand, too. And sigma-1 receptors are also found mostly inside cells, which is another point for DMT-as-intracellular-ligand theory. So you might have a situation that looks more like DMT inside cells, interacting with intracellular 5-HT and sigma-1 receptors, to modulate neurotransmitter traffic going in between cells, or modulating some kind of interactions with other systems. Sigma-1 has a role in modulating tons of other systems too. Lots of interesting avenues to explore there.

The guys from DMT Quest seem bullish on this idea so I'd pay close attention to it. A lot of things check out about that theory if you think about a few things based on first principles, such as which ones are lipophobic/lipophilic, and where sigma-1 cells actually are in the body. It would also, theoretically, potentially explain why smaller amounts of intracellular DMT could act with disproportionately high levels of influence compared to serotonin, because it's not actually competing for the same 5-HT receptors. Maybe it handles the ones inside, serotonin handles the ones outside. They work with the same system, but don't actually compete with each other. Not confirmed yet of course, but a lot of things make a lot of sense if it does work that way.

In my experience it lifts your brain frequency above negative frequency so everything i see translates into calm perception of me and my surroundings and also can go above all thoughts all together by diving in deep thru music or meditation. So basically, nice feeling.

I have unlocked endogenously produced DMT in my Sacrum.....it vibrates and pulses and feels like an orgasm from an angel, when I listen to 40hz gamma wave frequency. it goes up my spine once a month, or when forced, and it makes me trip heavenly for a time. Not joking... 🙂‍↕️🙏❤️‍🔥

Considering we don’t know where we are or what we are, it’s difficult to answer the DMT experience.

Am I mistaken in assuming that ANY psychedelic at sufficient doses (LSD being a primary example) can produce entity encounters?

I remember when we just called doing this stuff "getting fucked up" without thinking we were really talking to Neptunians.

The experience is Frequently described as more real than real! As one DMTX participant recently stated immediately after a session:” I don’t know where I went, but it was somewhere else.” your experiences, it cannot be written off to a hallucination.

DMT continues to raise some of the biggest questions we have about consciousness. The fact that researchers are still uncovering new possibilities after decades of study makes it even more fascinating. 👽🌀

@grok Is it true that Andrew Gallimore argues that the world we see while high on DMT is actually another world inhabited by other beings and that it is real?

As a small child I had frequent natural DMT dreams. I would dream answers to 'life the universe and everything' as if they were told by a narrator. I could only remember fragments which were too big for my brain, I was convinced I was stranded on earth and belonged somewhere else.

It's probably only alien because humans donkey themselves on it so much our system does produce it like it did.

A top neuroscientist just told Joe Rogan that DMT lets you communicate with extraterrestrials. “When you go into the DMT space … you are interacting with some kind of supremely advanced intelligence.” Andrew Gallimore suspects “billions” of extraterrestrial civilizations have “transcended their physical forms” and communicate with humans through our brains. “As an intelligent civilization progresses, they’re not likely to become space-faring.” “They’re much more likely to go deep down and instantiate themselves at the lowest levels of reality.” “They would become part of the fabric of space-time itself.” “There are probably millions or billions more of those types of civilizations than there are ones like humans.” “If we’re interested in contacting extraterrestrials, why are we focused on this tiny population of beings that are likely to be floating around in metallic discs?” “We should in fact be focusing on the much more abundant ones that are perhaps at the deepest levels of reality.” “How would an intelligence that has completely transcended its physical form … communicate with us?” “It would do it through our brain.” “I’m not saying that these DMT entities are necessarily post-biological beings, but it’s not out of the question.” “I’m not straying too far from fairly standard modern scientific discourse when I say that it’s perfectly possible that there are very large numbers of supremely intelligent civilizations that are everywhere and nowhere—and that we can somehow interact with using our brain.”

The DMT ecosystem is on the cusp of producing yet again another major breakthrough This time ushered in by Superfan.fan and his HIRO’s project AI and DMT are two technology primitives that when combined can produce a new class of digital asset with “lifelike” properties that are generated through Bitcoin block data We discuss this in an interview with Superfan 👇 Introducing HIRO’s Bitcoin’s First Generative AI Killer App Powered By DMT | w/ SuperFan | TBR #224 Superfan is building a next-generation suite of tools that enables creators to use generative AI in their UNAT scripts. This will be showcased by the upcoming HIRO’s launch on 🅼🆂🅲🆁🅸₿🅴 August 15th. HIRO’s is a collection of 4,032 dynamic characters that are responsive to non-arbitrary data patterns that occur on Bitcoin. The HIRO asset itself is an impressive demonstration of the high-fidelity output behind the technology stack being utilized to generate them. We speak with Superfan to understand better the technology and the practical use cases moving forward as he will open source. Also, his thoughts on community building by utilizing AI and the superpower ability it can introduce in metaverse construction. 🚀Sign up to receive our Ordinal Takeover Newsletter for weekly updates! Dr. Daniel Monti just revealed a potentially massive breakthrough in Parkinson’s disease treatment. And it’s much simpler than you think. He just published his third study on a molecule called N-acetylcysteine, or “NAC for short.” “This is a powerful antioxidant.” “It actually protects the liver.” “We know that it does a lot of different things, but the important thing for us is that it’s a precursor to something called glutathione.” “Glutathione protects the brain when there’s damage or oxidative stress and we lose it as we age.” “And when we get sick, we lose it even more.” “So we want to have a way to efficiently increase glutathione in the brain, particularly when we have a neurodegenerative disorder such as Parkinson’s disease.” “We hypothesized early on that giving infused N-acetylcysteine would increase glutathione and actually have a positive impact on Parkinson’s disease.” “We’ve published three studies on this and we look at brain scans in all of them.” “And what we’ve seen is that the N-acetylcysteine increases the efficiency of dopamine in the brain, which is the neurotransmitter or chemical that gets lost in Parkinson’s disease and causes all of those symptoms.” “Our most recent study shows that it improves the way the brain connects to itself or talks to itself the functional connectivity in the brain.” “To be in the study, you couldn’t have changes in your Parkinson's medications for a period of time.” “In both the control group and in the NAC group, people were on their Parkinson’s medications, but if they got the NAC, they did better.” “Their brain came alive in a way that wasn’t happening before.”
