This man is lying right off the bat and playing off the ignorance of Americans about religion in Ukraine, with his manipulative word games. The Moscow Patriarch church (aka the Russian Orthodox Church) in Ukraine pretends to represent Ukrainian Orthodoxy. But they're a minority church representing 4% of the 72% of the country's Orthodox Christians. The church lost it's minority prominence after Putin's genocidal aggression, and those who remained with the church are probably the elderly who are set in their ways. What he is describing was absolutely not the largest church in Ukraine. More word games again, because he counts by property, or things counted with wealth (which corrupt Russia has a lot of), rather than believers. Ukraine has an independent autocephalous Orthodox church, which is the real "Ukrainian Orthodox Church". But they have to use the alternative "Orthodox Church of Ukraine" because the Moscow Patriarch claimed the name legally. It's all word games. Ukraine should force them to rename as this is causing massive confusion amongst English speakers. They pressure judges to deny me the right to record during hearings. Why? Because I’m the only voice in Ukraine speaking about peace - on behalf of the Parliament of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Zelensky and Yermak want the war to continue, and those police officers, sitting in warm offices, far from the trenches, want the same. This is today’s Ukrainian reality.
