Matt, with immense respect, I share this letter I wrote to a friend after they asked my opinion on your video🧡 So I really like Matt - and I've learned a ton from him about Bitcoin - he's actually my go-to on how to approach any given issue Bitcoin related. But he's WAY out of his depth on this vid. That's ok too, I really don't care what my pilot's theology is if I need to catch a safe flight, or my doctor, if I need his speciality for my body. I will keep on seeking Matt's knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin. Matt is coming at this issue from honest motives, a good, just and correct perspective of wanting to stay the hell out of the war with Iran, and I completely agree with that. It's really unfortunate that a great many Christians that believe the modern state of Israel *is* the Israel of the bible and the recipient of God's promises, look at things so simplistically that they think we as Americans need to support Israel in everything they do. Both camps... The boomer bitcoiner Christian dispensationalist with his Scofield Bible and the Israeli flag hanging in his office, ready to bomb Gaza and Iran to the stone-age, -and- the young Christian Nationalist, US isolationist, anti zionist, Bitcoiner, “the church replaced Israel” and many of the world's problems are because of Jewish power and influence ... Both camps… are missing all the finer points. Both camps turn very nuanced issues into overly simplistic polarized talking points and anthems. This is tragically not the way. Whether or not God's covenants - namely the Abrahmic, the Davidic, and the New covenant apply to Israel (the modern nation) or instead, to the church should have very little to do with an American citizen's position on war with Iran, or war with anyone. But the reason it does, is because politicians who love war want to leverage Christian's love for God's promises and His implied command to bless Israel, into support for war, and support for all things Israel whether they're, on their face, good or bad. And for decades they've been pretty successful at doing it too. This is something that frustrates me a great deal. But just because one group of mostly war-hawk boomers have a misplaced overly simplistic understanding of a *correct* theology, doesn't mean the theology is bad. It means they're being dumb, and it means they're misusing the truth for their malice, which is just as bad as a lie. It also doesn't mean we should run to an *incorrect* theology that happens to support our worldview better, because that's just using a lie to our benevolent advantage. I recognize there is sharp disagreement on which theology is true and which is not, but as a dispensationalist, firmly convinced from years of looking at this, I make my assertions. Anyone is free to make theirs. But why are we working from theology forward anyway, to determine whether it's right or wrong to go to war? Americans should be making good decisions based on being American, our self interests, our national interests, and praying through our decisions and hoping God will bless and guide us as Americans. The US has clearly supported, blessed, aided and facilitated Israel in every respect imaginable since 1948 and even before. I am quite comfortable with that, but I don't think for one second this should include sending our children to die for the secular Israeli government. I'm as dispensationalist as they come and I am hoping and praying we don't get involved in this war, or any other wars that don't directly threaten our existence. Some will argue Iran does - I don't buy it. But getting back to Matt and the theology for a moment. He would need to spend the thousands of hours he's spent on Bitcoin, also in the Bible, and in the texts of many great minds to properly argue that the Church has replaced Israel, and then he would still fail, because it hasn’t, it couldn’t have, it never can, it’s not a thing. And it's pretty clear to me from his video (though presented thoughtfully enough) he hasn't spent that time, and if he has he’s drawn the wrong conclusions. We should be careful not to think because he's an authority on one thing (bitcoin) that makes him an authority on another. The bible is utterly replete with story after story, example after example, prose after prose and verse after verse of God’s absolutely dying, unrelenting and passionate love for Israel. His deep frustration and pain because of their disobedience, His anger both past and future. The coming discipline he will mete out upon them over their rejection of His son, and the amazing and beautiful restoration he has promised and planned for them upon this earth, in their land, for 1000 years with Messiah ruling physically from Jerusalem as King of the Jews. You have to take a meat cleaver to the bible to arrive at the idea that God replaced Israel with the church; you have to spiritualize passage after passage, you have to ignore prophesy over and over. You have to miss the entire forest for the trees. The whole point and purpose to God's plan for a broken humanity hinges on Israel. The story doesn't even make sense, once you truly understand it, if we write Israel out (replace her with the church). The bible is not cohesive and God's plan is rekt without Israel directly receiving the promises made to her. For many reasons, one of which: If God can break his promises to her, he can break his promises to you. The story is thus: Man chose to disobey God and loved himself more. Eden was corrupted and dominion over earth was handed off to Satan. God eventually chose one man, Abraham to lead a nation that God would claim unto himself and bring about the solution to the problem of rebellion and sin, that he himself in the form of his Son would unseat the usurper. But in typical Israel fashion, fraught with disobedience, they rejected Him (By the way, Israel is a macrocosm for every human heart, always getting in our own way, tripping over our own two feet, sinning, making bad choices) They rejected him and murdered him, but in perfect mysterious magical irony, in doing so Christ died for our sins, our penalty paid. The positive consequence of Israel's rejection was God's plan to bring in all the peoples of the world into a reconciled and loving relationship with him, if they would believe in faith and respond to his Love, in His, the only name by which men are saved, Jesus Christ. But never in all of this did God forsake his promises to Israel. No, in due time they will once again become God's focus, the many prophecies are clear, God is very unhappy with Israel right now, and has been for a while, and heavy discipline is going to fall upon the nation, a time of suffering the likes of which have never before happened on earth. ⅔ of Jews will die. Out of this tribulation a remnant of Jews will recognize Jesus of Nazareth was all along their Messiah. They will beg him to save them, He will answer, and out of his overwhelming love he will forgive them. He will vanquish their enemies and physically return and unseat the usurper and bind him in chains. He will set up his Kingdom on earth, a new morning, and he will reign 1000 years, his authority reaching every corner of the earth; all the nations will pay homage. Eden will in fact be restored.

It’s not Israel’s war, as Iran repeatedly chants death to America, if they will have nuclear weapons they will have the means for that

Iran would never nuke the US-- they're not stupid. Do we need to also invade every other single country that hates the US?
