A study over decades of research to understand what made people happy was a long & lasting marriage. Of course, it’s not for everyone &’it doesn’t mean you won’t be happy in other types of lifestyles or relationships. But that’s what the research concluded. But it’s difficult to find someone who is decent, has the same values as yourself & accepts you for who you are & vice versa. And of course there will be challenges but the best things come through hard work. Life isn’t meant to frictionless. So do need men or women need each other? Yes, but at differing levels and in a context we accept eg. not abusers, narcissists, liars etc. Ultimately, be yourself because if you’re playing a role, you’ll be unhappy. Because if someone doesn’t accept you for who you are, then they’re not for you. You can’t square a circle.
