Jimmy, we Catholics often use the syllogism: Jesus is God; Mary is the mother of Jesus; therefore, Mary is the mother of God. By the same logic, couldn’t we say: Jesus is God; Muslims don’t worship Jesus; therefore, Muslims don’t worship God?

Simple Answer: No. if you say you know Jerry the fire captain who is 6’ 4” and blond haired and your friend says he also knows Jerry but he’s a 5’ 5” convict with black hair, are you talking about the same guy?

My struggle with this is that there has to be a line where one's understanding of God has departed far enough from the Truth that you are no longer worshiping the same God. Where is that line?

A longer version of this video would have been helpful. Given that Islam believes neither the idea of a Trinitarian God nor in the divinity of Jesus, I have great difficulty with this, certainly that we both believe in “the same” God.
