Being a father to my kids has been both the most precious gift & rewarding of privileges. I don’t love my babies hoping for love in return. I love them because every fiber in my being wants to. I don’t demand reciprocation, love with expectation, or do for them based on what they can do for me. I love them unconditionally & that’s not just talk. They owe me nothing, & I owe them everything. I will never be their responsibility because God chose me for them, not the other way around. I’m forever indebted to all 3 of them & I pray that when my eyes close that debt is paid in full. A guy I know applied for a part time role in the Indiana Jones show at Disney on a whim. No acting or stunt background. Just the right size. Thought it would be fun. He didn’t tell his kids. Just showed up today in costume and surprised them with his debut. We went to see him and I figured he’d be an extra or in the background or something. Nope. Here he is fighting Indiana Jones in the final scene. I almost spit out my drink. Absolutely badass. The legend of this Dad just grew in his kids’ eyes. Turns out you can just do things.
