The real question is why D.C. keeps rigging the tax code to protect billionaire healthcare CEOs while gutting coverage for working Americans. The 2017 pass-through deduction alone handed top health execs $14M+ in personal tax breaks over six years—funded by slashing Medicaid and ACA subsidies. The Fair Tax Act (H.R.25) would torch this corrupt system, eliminating carveouts for lobbyist-politician collusion. Instead of debating Band-Aid amendments, let’s end the entire racket: kill the IRS, scrap loopholes, and force bureaucrats to justify every dime they steal from taxpayers.

What that means right now, as we come to the end of the year, is that literally hundreds of thousands of people are going to go on the exchanges in their state to choose what health care they want for next year—and all of them are going to see a giant increase in their costs. I talked to one family that’s paying about $300 a month right now for their health insurance. It’s going to jump to, I believe, over $1,800 per month. Can you imagine what’s going to happen when people go online and see they’ll have to pay exorbitant amounts for their health care? They won’t be able to afford it. Many of them will turn away and not pay for it—obviously, they’ll lose their health insurance. And as we know from the old Obamacare discussions, the fewer people who have insurance under our current system, the more everybody pays.
