Do Unborn Babies Go To Hell?

I will never understand why the concept of God having mercy on a deceased infant (who had literally no hope of being baptized) is, to some people, so incomprehensible that they had to essentially come up with an entire layer of hell instead.

No. Because God is love. And all judgment has been given to the Son. And Jesus loves the little children. I truly believe they are safely in His care.

Rome’s understanding of Augustinian soteriology, and the insane conclusions it produces, are one of the essential reasons I’m never going Roman.

The Catholic churches teaching are wrong, Jesus said to the unbaptised thief on the cross, “Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”. If the Churches teaching was right he would not be able to enter his Kingdom.

Good grief

Having a wrong understanding of John 3:5 inevitably leads people to believing babies who die in utero or before “baptism” are in Hell. Wicked ideology

A thought process I teach my children is how God might react to your teaching when you stand in front of Him. Would He be more offended at you teaching that He sends infants to hell or that He doesn't? He confounds the wisdom of the wise when the "wise" create a quandary in their logic that the simple can easily discern about God's character.

comicon religion

No.

My friend was a baby when she died in a car wreck with her mom. I had a near death experience and saw her in heaven. She was happily playing, and we got to spend some time together. I was one of the few people she knew on earth. She was so happy in heaven.

It’s sad to see what became of you

What an extremely evil teaching.

So, what he's saying is the church that has been "exactly the same for two thousand years" changed it's beliefs? Say it ain't so!

No, they don't.

reasonable hope 🤦♂️

I like when people admit that we simply don't know. It's surprisingly rare, and surprisingly hard to do. And, of course, you seem more trust worthy when you admit that. We like knowing stuff, as humans, but sometimes we do not know, and we must say we do not know when we do not.

Matt, why do you disagree with the past Popes & past RC church? You all change your mind like I change my socks.

Full Episode:

Near death experiences confirm they don’t. They also kinda contradict Roman Catholic theology. 😬

No. Unborn babies do not go to hell because: Condemnation requires unbelief — infants cannot disbelieve (John 3:18). Sin requires knowledge — infants cannot know (James 4:17). Judgment requires deeds — infants have none (Romans 2:6). Accountability awakens with awareness — infants have none (Romans 7:9). David expects reunion with his child — proving infants who die are safe with God (2 Sam 12:23). RCC teaching fails: Provenance (non‑textual, Augustinian) SET (infants lack moral agency) Textual integrity (contradicts David’s statement) Canonical alignment (contradicts all four judgment pillars) Legal coherence (infants have no standing for guilt)

3 reasons babies go to heaven. 1)original sin(guilt) is false. Ezekiel 18 shows us God firmly rejecting the idea that the son is guilty of what the father has done and the reverse. Thus, babies are born without guilt. 2) the innocent belong to the Father. Just as Adam and Eve were innocent before they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, children are born without that knowledge. 3)Jesus said “Let the little children come unto Me, and forbid them not! For OF SUCH is the Kingdom of Heaven.” The Catholic Church should be ashamed of its own lack of scriptural knowledge that it can’t decide this simple matter.

Of course they don’t

St. Fulgentius/Augustine: "Hold most firmly, and by no means thou shalt doubt, that not only men who already have use of reason, but even little children, who either begin to live in their mother's womb, and there die, or when they are born from their mothers, pass from this

In Ireland stillborn or infant dead are referred to as angels. They were never meant to be on this earth so aren’t subject to original sin. God has a higher purpose for them.

Catholicism is paganism

Great episode Matt

Limbo has always seemed reasonable to me. I think a lot of people do not understand what it'd mean. They just see "babies in Hell." It's perfect natural happiness. Regardless, no one will ever know this side of eternity, so the Church's stance of prayerful hope is best.

Depends on the covenantal status of the father.

Only heaven and hell no purgatory 👀

Such a question should make the world stop fucking period
