I agree with your Simulator theory. Revelation in the Bible claims "God" told us: "So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." Why would "God" "spit us out" for riding the fence? The only logical answer. Because we are here to make electricity by playing the game! Not sitting in the corner or refusing to get involved. We need wide open spaces, room to make big mistakes or hit mammoth home runs! But if you don't enter the game? Maybe you won't earn the right to be put "in the game" next go-around. Maybe we'll have to ride the bench. Just observe others playing.

I tried to have this conversation not long ago with someone at work. When I realized they don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, I kinda figured the simulator/simulation aspect was not gonna stick. I quickly moved on.🫠

Free will as an illusion I think is part of the show, so I would lean towards simulation. Everything has already been figured out, it's more akin to watching a movie play out (therefore simulation > simulator for me).

Seems like the observer and the conscious awareness doesn't have free will. The subconscious isn't under my control either, so no free will there. The ego doesn't seem to be under my control, so not there either. But then you have the self, which really does seem to be the thing that is "me." I have some free will there, I can direct the observer, my awareness, listen to the subconscious and ego, or not. But damn if it doesnt seem like the self is dependent on the other three and I'm not sure if it gets to go on after death, but if it does, and the subconscious dies, and the ego dies then it's just me and the observer. Then all I get to do is look around with all the other selfs lol. I can see why we come here.

I was told it’s not a simulation because it’s not a “simulacrum” of anything else. It’s a unique experience.

I also believe this the most--I've talked about it quite a bit, but then there's part of me that questions if this is some kind of advanced VR game created by advanced intelligence. What if we pick our sim and traits, etc just like the (safe) game, knowing we're logging into one that is not baby-gated, like GTA... many thousands years in the future. Maybe we wake up once we log out and there's still another life to live... only for it to repeat over and over, showing we’re layers deep in. Maybe we've deliberately chosen this so we extend our consciousness and life, while also gaining knowledge and leveling up in the process more efficiently.

Some of us are able to phase in and out — like shifting between ego identity (the character in the simulation) and higher self (the simulator, the observer, the dreamer).

That sounds similar to the statements made by Mathew Brown on his “Weaponized” podcast interview. The question is are we in a simulated environment for the purpose of development, or being farmed like cattle, or both? The gov believes the truth would collapse society, which is worrisome…
