That’s fine, balls have hit the backstop before & you found the clips. The point I was making was that on the first day of college baseball just casually watching games there seemed to be a common element on miscues. Find me 4 from the 1st day of college baseball…good luck👍

And if everyone just bunted no one would strikeout

@Driveline_RBI Plenty of guys still strike out trying to bunt, but thanks for playing.

I remember before this new age of catching catchers threw everyone out and never once had a pass ball.

@PhDague I am ok with the One Knee Down catching style with no runners on. It does allow the catcher to get underneath the ball for better presentation back to the zone. However, I agree it limits mobility laterally and does have a slower time to release when throwing, so no OKD w/runners

Terrible. OKD catchers competing with NFL referees for #1 on the “Who can ruin a game and make it unwatchable” list.

Have the nerds calculated the difference in value to the offense of another 90’ over a Ball/Strike going in the Defense’s favor? It’s so basic to me, keep the runners from advancing to prevent runs. They score less than you, you win.

I’m a fan of OKD catching, but not when runners are on base
