If you are in a situation where you need your sidearm, it has to work 100% of the time. Electronic safety guns just won't make it to be my EDC. Ever.

More complicated the device, the more likely it is to malfunction.

Would be cool if they made a ring which functioned like a key fob for a car. As long as you were wearing the ring, the gun knows it's okay to fire. If someone steals your gun without the ring, it's useless.

Not ready to bet my life on biometrics or bluetooth - currently I have to lick my finger to get the fingerprint reader to work on my gun safe and bluetooth earbuds work about 90% of the time. Nope, not there yet.

That’s not a smart gun, that’s just a regular pistol. Biometric lock, do you gotta give it a spit or blood sample, so that you can use it? Besides, if the bullets don’t track, then it ain’t a smart gun, it’s a tech gun

No, these are horrible. Imagine if you needed to take a quick shot from the side? Face recognition wouldn’t work. Or, your hands were dirty, or you had work gloves on and someone was on your property. Absolutely not.
