do yo cats recognise their names?

M cat absolutely does. When I don’t know where he is, I say, “Where’s Gary?” in a sing-song voice and he magically appears. Gary tax below.

gorgeous gary 🖤

I think so, but I also think it has more to do with the pitch and tone in our voice that they recognize. When tend to use the a particular tone when talking to our pets. We have a loving tone, a naughty tone, a dinner time tone, etc.

yeah i get that ✨

My cats know their names and the nicknames that I call them derived from their names.

same with mine, they have so many nicknames and recognise everyone

Names & several nicknames. Also, they ALL answer to “sweetie.” 💕💕💕

gorgeous ✨

Thank you! 💗

Bevy of black cats ALL knew their name. Wonder how she can tell them all apart by sight. 🗣️🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

They have higher IQ than the MAGAt republicans.

they sure do!

Barry seems a little preoccupied, but everyone else was amazing! A behaviorist might suggest that cats respond to the tone of your voice rather than their own names, but this crew looks determined to disprove that theory.

My friend recently got 4 kittens, he named them Teq (Tequilla), Jad (Jack Daniel), Vod (Vodka) and Supernova, idk what went through his mind when he named them that

hahaha, i do! 🍸🥃

I call mine "kitty" more than I use their names. Even when they're both together, they're smart enough to know who has my attention with eye contact and body language.

What’s a yo cat?

Mine do!

@justsaying58 My Meow-fia does as well. But, they all come running at dinner time. I could be calling Charles Manson.

🤣😂😅😆

So many gorgeous voids! Adorable🥰🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

The question is, how many times did this lady get the cats names wrong. They are mostly identical.

Mochi is the most majestic one-

Mts zatos aqui!! @ZatoActThree !!

Of course they do. I let them pick their names anyhow

All of my babies come to their name
