Do you ever consider that you might be wrong? Perhaps open borders would have negative consequences? Destroying the nation state is a bad idea? It's better to be free than communist?

This is one of the most radical positions I’ve heard from a British politician, “shall we build a society without them” he’s just asked for a country where he can banish his political opponents, it’s straight out the Nazi play book. What would he do with right wingers, put them in re-education camps, expel them from society like the Chinese have done with the Uyghurs, what a crazy take from the Tittie Whisperer.

I see loads of reasonable, quiet middle class people who have been moderate their whole lives who are now classified as far right. This makes them pissed off and pushes them towards parties like Reform. I'd not been political my whole life, I cared about my small town life and yet somehow now find myself hating this insane new left with a passion. You can't move the goalposts with radical new ideas and then be surprised when the masses don't follow you. Continously insulting them afterwards just isn't wise either.

You label all sorts of majority views as far right all the time.

They talk in terms of capturing minds to persuade people to believe in their ideology. I mainly see the other side or the right (for want of a better descriptor), talking about changing, tweak or scrapping the systems and institutions that govern our lives. There’s a fundamental difference in vision and i think it’s why you see left and right often talking past one another.
