Do you even pokemon bro? I'm doing some harness/benchmark development, here GPT5.6 finds a short path to trigger a deterministic invalid-species fallback in pokemon red using a WRAM type confusion -> integer underflow -> pokedex oob r/w 🕶️

David Cochrane apologizes for his no pushback interview with the Iranian Canadian Congress Islamist regime apologist "And you criticized that interview for falling short of standards and really allowing a platform for the narrative of the Iranian regime." "And look, I'm not going to argue with you." "...And we fell short as a team and I'm sorry about that. And I fell short as a host because I'm ultimately responsible for what happened." "So I do want to apologize to you for that because I know this is a source of great consternation and some hurt and that was not our intention and I'm sorry that happened and I'm glad you're here to sort of speak about it." Arsalan Kahnemuyipour "The fact of the matter is people distrust the organization." "And to suggest that this was instigated by Israel or foreign forces is obviously offensive to the Iranian Canadian community." "But within the Iranian Canadian community, they're definitely, this is a fringe type of ideology. They probably represent more than less than 0.5, 0.5% of the Iranian Canadian community population." Cochrane "How do they get standing at something like a foreign interference inquiry when you and so many others voice concern that essentially this is, this organization supports the positions of the Iranian regime in practice and in word?" That is something CBC itself should do a separate news expose on... not as a posed question to a guest after a formal apology

📣 After party interview was very nice 🫶🏻: A: Hello R: Hello, how are you? A: I'm doing well. How are you? R: We're fine too. Thank you. It was a beautiful birthday night. Your friends didn't leave you alone. Likewise, your mother is with you. How did it go? What did you wish for? A: It was very beautiful. As I said, I wished for health first of all, then the rest will be taken care of. We celebrated with a small group. Ahh (she saw the cake slice the reporter brought for her) R: Good evening, happy birthday A: Thank you. Thank you very much R: Can you take the microphone, uncle? A: Uncle? Is he an uncle? 😁 A: Is he your uncle? R: Yes I am his nephew R: will you make a wish? (For the cake 🍰 ) A: ok, let’s make a wish. Thank you, thanks a lot, you are very kind. Really thank you. R: May you have a happy birthday! A: Thank you R: What did you wish for? A: Well, this year has been a great one for me. We did a great job for Disney Plus. I really enjoyed it. It was something I really did from my heart. I hope it finds its reward in the new year too. Apart from that, as I said health, peace, and happiness. We also have a new work for the new season of ATV… R: …the ABI series is coming. A: Exactly. R: It’s been talked about a lot as always. So is there going to be a movie 🍿 ? A: we don't have such a plan right now. But why not , of course. R: I get a lot of questions about the movie. They (fans) specifically asked whether she would do it or not. Your fans, we haven’t seen such audience (in a good way) when we look at them. A: I am thankful to them, they are very special (😊😍) R: You are world-class, you’ve left all your fellow artists and actors behind. How doesn’t it feel like? A: Thank you, of course it’s a great feeling to be rewarded for the work I do. I am glad they (fans) exist, and I am glad they are with me. I always feel their support. I'm glad they exist. R: So, what gift did your mom give you? Let’s learn that. A: She bought a beautiful sweater. R: : Vallahi A: It has a ribbon in the back like that. Very nice. R: You are also well prepared (well dressed) for the night. A: Thanks a lot. Thank you! R: The fans had a question. Let’s ask that. Well, did you wish for a relationship or something like that. A: Well, I am focused on my career now, there's nothing else I can say (there is nothing more to say). I mean, I don’t know what to wish for. If something is going to happen, it will happen. let’s see. I don’t know , I'm focused on my career right now. I am at work; I am in my strength. R: Yes. You are in a very good place in your job and career. A: thanks a lot R: How do you find your other actors/friends (in the industry)? For example, are there any TV series that you watch or follow? A: I am following the series we are watching. I watch #TaşacakBuDeniz , it’s going very well. I like them (actors) all very much. That is it. R: #YalıCapkını ‘s voice has been heard worldwide, but is there any longing? Isn't that possible? A: Of course, we always miss such successful works. Any time. Thank you very much. R: Have many wonderful year ahead of you A: Thanks a lot #AfraSaraçoğlu We are incredibly proud of her! She also met some fans and greeted them in Russian, taking photos with them as well.

Sigh. I just had the credits roll in Pokemon Legends ZA, after 41 hours (i did a lot of side quests) You guys KNOW I am a HUGE Pokemon fan, always been. I grew up with the franchise and it was one of my biggest escapes growing up. I loved Scarlet and Violet, I LOVED Legend Arceus. Pokemon Legends ZA is.. so bad though. The story? Could have been a post main game storyline, barely any substance, barely anything of value. The main story is just the aftermath of X&Y. Some of the side characters stories is nice, other‘s is just annoying or forgettable. Character designs: Mixed opinion, some designs are peak (corbeaue), some are just blatantly awful and an eyesore (jacinthe). Map: ehhh, the map LOOKS small, doesn‘t feel small though. BUT if you take Legend Arceus in comparison, it‘s like 1/4th of the size if even? The parkour is done SO POORLY. It‘s boring and tedious. Looking back at Legend Arceus where you could literally climb mountains, swim and fly, the map traversal is just done poorly and boring. I get that they removed ridable pokemon because then the map would have instantly felt even smaller, but that‘s just an issue the pokemon/gamefreak created for themselves. They decided to have the game ONLY in the capital of Kalos. They also could have simply made the map bigger lol. Gameplay: PERSONALLY I don‘t see why people are praising the gameplay that much, maybe because it‘s finally something different? It‘s alright in normal 1v1 battles, easily becomes unreadable if there‘s multiple parties partaking (think mega battles before the final boss) The rogue mega battles LOOKED good, and they had a good idea, but WHY is the dash button on B, which is tied to the battle commands. Same for dodge being on the Y button. Bear with me, the rogue mega battles are done in a giant arena, and you have to DODGE and RUN a lot, while also ATTACKING the rogue mon. You you can only do ONE, attack, by holding down the left trigger and your A B X Y buttons transform into your moveset, or run and dodge. Just from a game design aspect, this is awful. And don‘t get me started on how buggy the gameplay is at times. Sometimes the trigger button does not even give me the attack moveset? (No its not my switch 2, tested on both switch 1 and 2 with both versions of the game) Right before the final part, my team is around lvl 65-70 and I more or less one shot everything. Now (and spoiler warning) multiple megas attack you, you fight alonsgide NPC trainers and the screen becomes so unreadable and my pokemon just get knocked out one after another? Idk if this is a skill issue, but the sudden spike of difficulty and the cluttered screen made that part really unfun. Final boss was just… awful. Two giant flowers appear, you have to knock them both out, but their damage is ridiculous, and they are super tanky. Then scene switch to Zygarde attacks Ange Floette, and repeat this for like 3 times. The rest of the fight also is just bad and boring. At least the cinematic looked pretty. The alpha pokemon that randomly appear are nice, but nothing of value was added by adding them. (Alphas were a HUGE story part in legend arceus, here it seems they are just throwing players a pity bone) The pokedex quest seems like it wants to be legend arceus so bad but it just misses the point. Legend arceus pokedex felt fun and enjoyable, legend za feels tedious and annoying. Shiny Hunting in this game is SO BORING. No sandwiches, no mass outbreaks, you just reload the area by fast traveling or resting at a bench. Can‘t talk about competitive. yet cuz I haven‘t gotten to it. Finally, this game is a 3,5/10 to me. If anything it made me wanna play Legend Arceus again

COACHES: This is another HUGE pet peeve of mine. Players trying to do it all themselves and making a potential rush opportunity into a 1v1. The higher the level you play, the less likely a player will beat a defender 1v1. Especially on the rush. I see so many kids try to do it themselves - and if the kid is talented enough at the younger ages it potentially may work out. But as players advance to higher and higher levels, you rarely see anybody try to beat a defender 1v1. And even more rarely do you see anybody actually beat a defender 1v1. I see so many coaches rewarding kids at the younger ages for taking the puck from one end of the ice to the other and scoring. While it's great that a number goes on the scoreboard, you are doing a disservice to the kid's development. Because if that kid doesn't learn the value of passing and using their teammates, at some point this clip is going to happen to them. A LOT. And that player will eventually get passed by the kids that learned to play the right way with their teammates. On this clip the ANA player tries to do it all himself and the puck goes the other way and eventually ends up in the back of his net. It's hard enough to beat one person 1v1 in high level hockey, let alone skating the puck through multiple defenders. So coaches, please emphasize the value of using your teammates. I see this type of play SO OFTEN in youth hockey. Passing, hockey sense, playing with your head up, using your teammates...these skills translate to the next levels. Doing it yourself, even if it works as a young player, does not.

I've been experimenting with Seedance 2.0 to create seamless extensions. I created this sequence called UBUMBE FOREST. Seamless extensions can actually be quite tricky to do and requires some precise magic with editing to connect them. There is no shortcut here, you must experiment until you find the sweet spot to make the transition seamless. Ubumbe Forest - During a routine foraging trip deep in the Ubumbe forest in Tanzania, a father guides his daughter off the beaten path. Here, hidden from the rest of their tribe, she steps into a breathtaking new world and comes face-to-face with insects and creatures she has never seen before, even encountering a rare Peafox. 🟢Extending a scene however is fairly simple: - Generate your first sequence. - Upload that video as an Omni reference. - Type this at the start of the prompt "Naturally continue the movement and momentum from the previous clip. Keep the exact same art style, lighting, character appearance, and physics." and then explain what happens next in this sequence. - Congrats, you now have a scene extension that naturally flows from where the last video ended. However this is only the start of the puzzle, you need to join these clips so they're seamless. Seedance 2.0 is able to match the pacing, remember the characters and even their voices using this technique. The hard part is the extension but check my second post to see how I'm doing it in Capcut.

Geno Auriemma shares how he explains success to his players and why showing up isn't enough. "If you go to class and you do average work, you're gonna get a C. That's why it's called average." "If you want a B, you have to do more work. If you want an A, you have to do even more work and you have to give up stuff." You get what you earn in life. "You have to sacrifice. Maybe you can't do all the things that everybody else does." It means if you want more then you have to be willing to do more. "If you're just happy getting Bs all your life, there's nothing wrong with that either. But you're never gonna get the satisfaction of what it feels like to get an A." Then he connected it to basketball: "If you just wanna be average, then you do average work. If you wanna be a little bit above average then you do a little more work." "If you wanna get As in basketball, then you gotta do stuff that other people aren't willing to do - especially if you have the talent like we do. We have talent." It means bring a mindset of excellence to everything that you do. Excellence isn't the goal - it's the standard you set. Then he called out the entitlement problem: "Some of these younger guys coming out of high school, man, they wanna show up and go, 'I'm here. Where's my 3.7?'" "Like my father used to say, 'I got your 3.7 right here.'" Showing up doesn't earn you anything. Doing the work does. You get the grade you earn - in school, in basketball, and in life. It's easy to be average...successful people look to compete in everything they do. (🎥UCTV Sports )

Build and customize complex AI applications with a flexible framework in this new short course, Building AI Applications with Haystack. Created in collaboration with deepset, makers of Haystack, and taught by Tuana, who is the developer relations lead for Haystack at deepset. Generative AI technology is changing rapidly and it can be challenging to integrate APIs from different LLMs, vector databases, and various tools such as web search. In this course, you will learn how to use the Haystack framework to make your development process more modular, allowing you to manage complexity and focus more on building your application. In detail, you’ll: - Build a RAG pipeline using Haystack’s main building blocks – components, pipelines, and document stores. - Create custom components in your pipeline by building a Hacker News summarizer that extends your app’s ability to access APIs. - Use conditional routing to create a branching pipeline with a fallback to web search mechanism when the LLM does not have the necessary context to respond to the user's query. - Build a self-reflecting agent for named entity recognition that loops using an output validator custom component. - Create a chat agent using OpenAI's function-calling capabilities which allow you to provide Haystack pipelines as tools to the LLM, enhancing that agent's capabilities. By the end of this course, you will learn a high-level orchestration framework that can help make your applications flexible, extendible, and maintainable, even as the technology stack changes, new user needs arise, and you add new features to your application. Q explains once you worked hard and know what to look for, its all about waiting and not over trading. "How long did it take your journey, for instance? How did you do it? What process did you suggest for people down this road? Well, when I had a 40k account, I was day trading. I started doing more overnights when I had like a couple of hundred thousand or like 100,000, and then I started doing more swing trading, like three to five days, when I had a few hundred thousand. Now that I have in the millions, I don't even bother with these shorter-term trades. I'm just looking for big opportunities because I don't really have to make money. I don't care if I don't make money for the rest of the year. I'm just waiting for the next big opportunity, like when the market goes up a lot and I can make a million, two million in a short amount of time. The rest of the time, I don't sit there and day trade for a few thousand here, a few thousand there. I'm just getting too old for it. I don't want to spend the rest of my days like that. I want to trade the rest of my life, but I don't want to day trade. I don't want to sit there and look at charts seven, eight hours per day. I've done that. It's really exhausting. So I'm just sitting around and doing other things. Meanwhile, I look for big opportunities. The last big opportunity was late last year, early this year. I made well over a million in a very short time, in a few months. And I really didn't have to do much. I bought a few stocks and now I just waited. And that's how I like to trade. I don't want to work too hard for it because you don't have to. If you wait for your setups, you don't have to work that hard, but you have to work hard to get to the point where you know where the good setups are, if you understand what I mean. Patience is the hardest part because you feel like you have to do something. Every day I'm fighting the urge to trade. I'm a chronic over-trader. I probably always will be, and that's fine as long as I realize it and don't go crazy with it."
