He's completely wrong! It's not a made up name.. Jesus is the TRANSLITERATED name Yeshua from Hebrew/Aramaic to English.. it's not an arbitrary name made up by someone.. Hebrew/Aramaic → Yeshua Greek (New Testament and Septuagint) → Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous), adapted because Greek lacked the “sh” sound and needed a masculine grammatical ending Latin → Iesus English → Jesus (the “J” sound developed later in English)

It’s transliteration because we speak another language. Do not be deceived by people like this proclaiming new age false religion. His name is Jesus.

Jesus’ life on Earth is described in The New Testament. The New Testament was originally written in Koine Greek, the common language of the Eastern Mediterranean during the 1st century AD. The Greek word, Ἰησοῦ (Iēsou) translates to Jesus in English. I speak English, not Hebrew. Therefore, it’s not wrong to say Jesus. 🤍🕊️

His name IS Jesus, translated directly from the orginal Greek. Jesus is the only name that has POWER behind it. This is playing the Kabbalah name game, trying to decieve the audience. “Yeshua” AKA Metatron, a satanic counterfeit of Jesus.

This is beyond silly. John to Jackie is a ridiculous comparison. John to Juan is much more comparable. Has everything to do with different languages having different sounds, not giving Him a “different name” Just look at Spanish pronunciation of Jesus and the Ancient Greek form Iesous (of Yeshua) Jesus is King. 👑

In Matthew 1:20-21, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:20-21). This instruction emphasizes that the naming was divinely commanded and directly linked to Jesus’ mission of salvation

Jesus” is not his “real” name in the sense of being the original personal name in the language his family likely spoke. It’s the English form of a Greek name, Iēsous, which comes from the Hebrew/Aramaic name Yeshua (often spelled Joshua in English). What was his name? Likely original name: Yeshua (Hebrew:יֵשׁוּעַ), meaning roughly “Yahweh saves.” How it became “Jesus”: Yeshua → Greek(Iēsous) → Latin/English (Jesus). When was he “named Jesus”? There isn’t a specific historical record that tells us the exact date a name was assigned to him. What the New Testament says is that his name was given at or around his birth/infancy: •In the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, thename Jesus is announced before birth andthen used for him after his birth. If you mean “what year,” “Jesus” wasn’t a formal title used like we’d use it today in calendars—rather it’s the name his family/region used, preserved through later Greek-language sources. The best you can say from the texts is: he was named at the time of his birth (as described in Matthew/Luke), not on a later specific date we can verify.

The name traveled through languages roughly like this: Hebrew/Aramaic: Yeshua (ישוע) → Greek: Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς) → Latin: Iesus → English: Jesus So “Jesus” is the standard English form of his historical Hebrew/Aramaic name, Yeshua. Saying that “Jesus wasn’t really his name” can be misleading. It’s more accurate to say Jesus is the English form of his name, just as many biblical names take different forms when moved from Hebrew through Greek and into English.

This is a stupid take. Joshua is the direct to English translation of Yehoshua which became Yeshua. Jesus came to English from the Latin IESVS from the Greek Iēsous Just like Jesus and Josue are the same name in Spanish

This jew lies as all jews do. Old languages have absolutely by any means any privilege, power or efectivenes for the invocation of God over modern languages. In Christian countries Jesus is Jesus and nothing else and that name has the same or even more salvific power and effectiveness than His Name in that old dead obsolete language. This jew is trying to gain authority over all Christianity by taking possession of the Name of the Lord through disqualifying modern languajes as if they were useless to invoke the Divinity which is an absolute lie, a dirty pretention. You jew, go out to the countryside and pick snails!

Language is code God knows ME and who I believe on because I look toward and believe in the one who died for me according to the will of God. Read John 6:40 Yeshua Hamashiach. I speak English not Aramaic or Hebrew So I can call him the transliterated name JESUS CHRIST which MEANS the same as Yeshua Hamashiach. Like computer code languages speak the same message

Yeshua(Aramaic)➡️ Iēsous(Greek)➡️ Iesus(Latin)➡️ Jesus(English) They’re all transliterations from the people they got the religion from as they would obviously have to “translate” from their language rather than Hebrew which would be unknown. Joshua is just a more direct TL…

*sigh* dudes an uneducated person ignorant of its transliteration. Jeshua in Greek is Iēsous, then to Latin Iesus, then to English, Jesus. Jesus is perfectly fine to call Christ as His name. It’s not made up.

There was no j in Hebrew, my contention is His name is Yahsus, Hebrew roots say Yahusha, he comes in the name of the Father Yahuah, so the prefix must be Yah. Now Yah Yocephus tells us is prounced with two vowel sounds E A, the old King James wrote Iah, Greece took the name and wrote Iēsous the E ah became E ay, but they name is Yah but this is the linguistic drift, everyone called him Iēsous, so he is called Yahsus - E A soos. Now I could go into the Paleo fro Yahsus and Yahusha both essentially mean deliverance. But the one name under heaven by which man is saved that Father, Son and Ruach share is Yah
