Do you like to explore worlds that are entirely handcrafted, not using any procedural generation? #gamedev #RPG

Always handcrafted

Yes. But. I do like a well crafted procedural experience. If the gameplay lends to procedural. Minecraft, NMS, good examples where it works. Back4Blood, bad example of repetitive feeling while trying to provide a "never ending experience". L4D did better with handcrafted

What I'm going for is hand crated, but procedurally placed. I began with a procedural dungeon system but just couldn't shake how procedural it looked.

I won't lie, the voices need a bit of work to fit in better but other than that handcrafted is always better

handcrafted is the way to go for me. i'd rather find my favorite piece of equipment in a guaranteed place as early as possible

i hate procedural

Them sound effects and death animations are beautiful! Shout out to the sound and animation guys! The weapon impact.. the roar of the attack hitting the ground.. the arrow pull.. the falling to one knee before dying etc.. 🤌

Loving all your videos, man! Cheers, game looks awesome

Always depends on the game and how well everything is executed, I’ve enjoyed games that have done both.
