exactly one year & hundreds of posts later, this account has been dedicated to posting exclusively all things wicked. as of now, i don't know if or when i will next post, and this well may be my last one. with the wicked films all wrapped up, i have no more news to provide. additionally, i have posted almost all of the extra content that i wanted to post, such as comparisons, parallels, and those sorts of things. i may briefly return once the ozma film becomes relevant if it happens, as i am looking forward to that. running this account has probably been the, or at least one of the, most fulfilling things i've ever had the pleasure of doing, and that is not an exaggeration. quite honestly, it vastly improved my quality of life. i will continue to reflect on the last 2 or so years of my life (especially the last 12 months) every single day, just as i already do. wicked will forever be a part of me. lastly, i'd like to thank everyone who followed me or followed along with my posts. it was so fun being the first to post new information/unseen movie clips and seeing everyone's reaction. and i want to especially thank all of those whom i spoke with in DMs, as those individuals made this whole experience even more important to me. i was going to keep this post under 280 characters, but as it turns out, that was clearly not possible lol. thank you all once again, and in case this is truly my last post, i wish you all a wicked good rest of your lives.

So I built another dynamic blog post (on my new vibecoded blog platform that lets me do these kinds of pages) with this chart above. The first disclaimer of course is this is completely subjective and essentially a chart based brain dump. And the second disclaimer is I don't think I'm right, it's just my own beliefs visualized! The Fondant Blender Custom Normals Addon version 2.1.0 is almost ready. For this update I've returned to the Laplacian Smooth modifier (in the $0 version). There's a lot of big improvements based on my testing and some problems users found. One of those is a classic problem in Laplacian Smoothing: Instability! For various reasons, certain areas of the mesh can end up with very small or large values that cause oscillations. In Position smoothing, this causes the mesh to explode. For Normals, we get crazy banding or checkboard shading. This happens at high iterations and high strength. The solution is to lower the strength. Sometimes 0.9 will do it, but sometimes you end up down at 0.5. That works, but then you have less smoothing. Now you need more iterations again to get to the same amount and it gets slower. And more iterations = more risk of instability. I've implemented Momentum Smoothing, which helps prevent weird movements and oscillations by keeping some of the movement from the previous iteration. This is technically less precise, but we don't care for smoothing toon shading. It works so well that you not only don't need to turn down the strength, you can even turn it up to 2 or even 3! That means less iterations, or really crazy amounts of smoothing!

I've been experimenting with Seedance 2.0 to create seamless extensions. I created this sequence called UBUMBE FOREST. Seamless extensions can actually be quite tricky to do and requires some precise magic with editing to connect them. There is no shortcut here, you must experiment until you find the sweet spot to make the transition seamless. Ubumbe Forest - During a routine foraging trip deep in the Ubumbe forest in Tanzania, a father guides his daughter off the beaten path. Here, hidden from the rest of their tribe, she steps into a breathtaking new world and comes face-to-face with insects and creatures she has never seen before, even encountering a rare Peafox. 🟢Extending a scene however is fairly simple: - Generate your first sequence. - Upload that video as an Omni reference. - Type this at the start of the prompt "Naturally continue the movement and momentum from the previous clip. Keep the exact same art style, lighting, character appearance, and physics." and then explain what happens next in this sequence. - Congrats, you now have a scene extension that naturally flows from where the last video ended. However this is only the start of the puzzle, you need to join these clips so they're seamless. Seedance 2.0 is able to match the pacing, remember the characters and even their voices using this technique. The hard part is the extension but check my second post to see how I'm doing it in Capcut.

Made one post about Handshake and my dms are a mess. This is why I don't talk about these things on here. My life is already hectic as is. For folks that followed me because of Handshake post, please note that while I am good at this stuff, I am not building a whole brand around it. So please don't expect me to start posting 24/7 about it. Anyway, here is an Intro training video for the Multimodal Agent Arena task on the Hedgehog project in Handshake. Sound comes on at around 3 minutes into the video. I made this video because I wanted to make this post. Other training videos for my folks are not as smooth so it would take some time to edit them and share.
