Is the matte display coating really starving the OLED of contrast to the degree that the video seems to suggest? Or did it look different in real life?

It is beautiful! But of course the question is what does it look like after 20 openings a day, 365 days a year, for five years?

Seems pretty easy to replicate that particular aspect in testing.

It's definitely there. The matte displays masks it pretty well.

It is still visible, but the matte screen hides it pretty well, even tho it ruins the screen quality making the colors look whased

the crease is much wider than others, but it is there and you will notice more and more on daily basis, I bet you drop this damn thing like 10 time a day when you try to open it with 1 hand.

Great work on the crease and animation, but why is this rotating to portrait while you hold it in landscape? That's the stuff that is actually important for usability. That and that pasting from the phone to the Mac never works. Apple should focus on basics.

Well, of course, we can see it when we’re looking for it. I can see the notch when I’m looking for it. I can see the dynamic island when I’m looking for it. I can see a hole-punch camera when I’m looking for it. But when I’m using it? No. Absolute non-issue.

The problem with foldables isn't the crease or the animations The problem is you're paying significantly more for worse battery life and worse cameras. In return you get a small tablet that isn't built for watching content. Apple didn't fix these problems

I see garbage picture quality above all else due to a Matte display instead of glossy. The outer display looks miles better. Matte makes OLED look WEAK. 🤮🤮🤮👎👎👎
