Canada’s public sector has grown far beyond what a productive country can sustain. Vast portions of it should be eliminated. Education and public works should no longer exist as government monopolies; those services should be privatized and taken out of the public payroll. Taxes at federal, provincial, and municipal levels need to be slashed by 50% to stop punishing the private sector that funds everything else. Competition and individual merit must replace socialism and welfare as the default. The current model is unsustainable, in a more difficult and divided world with all its other existing challenges, and changing climates and resources.
