People had less but looked after one another we all had aunts and uncles who weren't related just good friends. Merry Christmas everyone

Yes. History and knowledge passed down tells us this. Crime was virtually non existent and people lived with their doors unlocked and windows open. Imagine doing that today. Life was poorer but richer in value.

Times were harder back then, then decline, I remember Whitby having fishing boats 6 deep along the quayside stretching the whole length of the harbour, now, there's hardly three or four in the harbour. Something went wrong!

This video reminds me of my grandmother. She was one of the few amazing people to have been in my life. I am glad she did not live to see how far we have drifted from the values she held so dearly.

for sure but the early 90's were the best. now parts of London are unrecognisable.

People were just poor building communities. Now people are still poor but tearing communities apart.... not sure whatt the answer is but I would choose strong community. And wealth creation.
