Indians do just That... and when we talk about our marriages to people outside Asian cultures, the westerns raise their eyebrows in surprise and criticize our customs calling them, "Unfair" and "Forced".
If you don't know them well enough, you'll be signing up for a failed marriage. Know about their past, present and project into the future a little if they'll make a good spouse and parent. Know their behaviors and reactions to certain things, no one is perfect. Pick your poison
