Incorrect description. The rotation flap is used to get primary wound healing instead of secondary healing (think a major scab and exposed muscle/connective tissue), thus minimizing scar formation.

I had this done albeit on a slightly bigger scale. Clean margins required after a thumbnail sized sarcoma.

Never get rid of what you might need in the future. Why would you make a small wound bigger?

I’m not a doctor… but I used that same technique to fix my daughter’s squishy.

I have a scar from a hernia repair that looks like a 4 year old did it. Also I always wondered why the surgeon doesn’t do a better job closing up a c-section.

Excellent job by the surgeon, however these methods seem to be in need of replacement by something less traumatic. I don’t know how but I feel like we will see that change soon. We will look at this as a rudimentary approach and barbarism in the future.

Cool video. Maybe next, you try it without making an additional 7” of scar tissue, just to cover up a 3/8” diameter hole.
