Skin cancer

Got to have a good blood supply to the flap and tell patient not to smoke while it’s healing

why not like this

By making a way bigger scar? Gotcha

I dunno. I think the bullet hole scar would make for a better story.

What was the need for causing such a big scar if they still had to stretch the skin to close it? Why not stretch the skin on original scar to close it?

Is this on an alien or why does the flesh underneath appear to be green?

@grok Now arent there 2 scars?

Will the scar be prettier than the usual straight line?

All I see is a big Jewish nose. The internet has ruined me 🤣

Yea but now I got a fat L on my arm :(

A vet did that on my wonderful dog after it was mauled by a large mixbreed. The emergency vet was unable to close the wound, leaving a gaping 4 inch circle. Same day was taken to a vet hospital where they did a rotation flap procedure. Thankfully we have her back in good health.

This type of incision and suturing can significantly reduce local skin tension and promote faster wound healing; the resulting scar is also much less noticeable than that from direct suturing.

Which is better more and smaller stitches? Or no stitches but only pressure to keep the ends together?

Convince me a robot couldn’t do this with ease

I really need to get that done with some of my old sh scars, i really wish i wasnt so foolish at that time.

I legit thought the doc was drawing Spider-Man’s face there.

but would scars from the threads/whatever is used to bind the flesh not remain ?

Incredible. This is bioengineering

Wish my son's Dr knew that when he had a chunk missing after putting his arm through a window. He's got a much larger scar.

Good trick for stitches

My dad had a car wreck and the skin on his shin got pulled up over his kneecap, I got to watch the lady stitch it up. All kind of crazy stitching. Art. Healed great.

Something smells off

That's interesting... Does it work on an area under constant motion (think bicep), does it lose mobility and regain it over time?

Is this person reptilian ?

1. Stretching like that? 2. You never hurt/cut healthy Skin unless it really is needed.. Thats a no

👍

Nice

Nice job cutting out the "dog ear" end so it will heal flat.

Fascinating 🧐

helps promote healing and minimize tissue damage

This is fascinating and unsettling.

*Well done!...

Now you have a bigger skinnier scar 😒

"Doctor" Bullshit. Surgeon. Very different thing.
