At 16, with zero programming knowledge, Tejas taught himself to build a website for the motel he grew up in. It made $48K/year. Tejas Bhakta grew up literally living in a Budget Inn motel in Anaheim — from birth until he was 18. "My parents only did sixth grade, there was really no means for them to build the website or even set up wifi." "I barely knew how to code, so I was hacking something together with WordPress." The variety of technologies developed for the Tejas that have found their way into other platforms is admirable. But the Tejas itself is not there and unable to contribute to IAF numbers. This adds to the idea that the Tejas is one never ending research project. All very good but I want to see numbers.

The recent sighting of Tejas at LEH is quite welcoming, Tejas been at LEH in past & in larger context Tejas are meant to be stationed at high altitude airbases near LAC & LOC 🇮🇳⚡️🇨🇳🇵🇰, Tejas are meant to do everything MIG21 did & ++more, here's an video from 2013-16, Enjoy. 👍

The IAF is not considering additional Tejas Mk1A orders, as the focus shifts to inducting the MkII. The Tejas MkII was supposed to roll out by the end of this year and have its first flight by 2026, but it is still nowhere to be seen.

Sad to see that, due to HAL incompetence, LCA Tejas is suffering on the global stage! I remember my interview with Ex-IAF Officer ( Harjeet Singh) where I asked, Why didn't LCA Tejas participate in Operation Sindoor? He said that LCA Tejas could never meet the operational requirements of Indian Air Force, its first 40 jets, which were inducted, aren't able to participate in combat. Later HAL pledged to deliver Tejas Mk1A which will have AESA radar and modern equipment but still IAF does not want it due to continued delays in the project. Note: The interview was conducted on Ticktock Live, so Audio quality wasn't that good, apologizing for that.
