I think it depends on the woman but it absolutely determines the kind of respect you get with that woman as well. Granted there are other factors like your own character that play into the scenario.

Well, calling it pulchritudinous is not quite correct for we Africans. We have really sold out our culture for western culture. African women used to love their husbands regardless of what the case may be. Wether he was rich and then went broke, wether he was healthy then fell I'll, they hardly left. It got deeper if they had children already. They cared less of the whole fake status quo today's woman cares about. And that is why the rate of divorce the world has recently has hit all time high.
