He was Muhammad Moiz. He initially made videos as “Shumaila Bhutti” using Snapchat filters and later moved into “drag-style” comedy content. In these clips (shared below) he explicitly refers to himself as male. At no point in those videos does he identify as transgender nor does anyone else refer to him as such. Only much later after becoming deeply immersed in the character and performance, Moiz realised he should be a woman now. This shows a clear shift over time from online persona and performance to identity claim not an inborn or long-standing biological condition.

With Frodo returning for the new Lord of the Rings film, I was reminded of this classic Graham Norton clip with Elijah Wood and Robin Williams. Elijah casually mentions that Hobbiton is a real place you can actually visit. Graham laughs it off and says it’s not, and then Robin Williams takes over and runs with it like only he can 😂 At the end, as Graham is mocking Hobbiton again, Robin says to him: “Good luck getting into New Zealand, asshole!” 😭 Robin really was a legend on chat shows, so quick, unpredictable, and endlessly entertaining.
