Does bitcoin actually track global M2 with a ~10-week lag? In my view, short-term correlations like this are probably spurious. But over the long term, the relationship between global liquidity and bitcoin is both logical and hard to deny.

That’s an interesting perspective.

Makes sense that global liquidity moves would eventually show up in Bitcoin’s price.

Agree on the spurious short-term correlation. Global M2 and BTC relationship is more about macro liquidity conditions and capital flows over longer timeframes. The 10-week lag seems like pattern-seeking in noise.

Plenty of open questions about where bitcoin goes and what it depends on. The end of this cycle will increase clarity a lot.

My target for #Bitcoin this cycle is $200K, but the real long-term opportunity is its potential to hit $1M within 10 years, far outpacing other assets. Altcoins can 10x or 100x short-term but face steep risks and regulatory challenges ahead. Bitcoin remains my long-term hold.
