He starts off with the standard line that if men would just fulfill their duty as husbands, the wives will not rebel. This is obviously not always true, as Pearl points out. To his credit, he does say that a woman that transifies her kid should be divorced. (Please clap.) So then, the deacon pivots to, “Well, men having to pay child support to an evil ex-wife isn’t all that bad.” That is simply mind-blowing since missing child support payments can land you in JAIL.
